There is something hilarious about the guy smoking everyone called Jett and the two guys trying to keep up called Chase and Hunter 😂. The names are very on point.

After diving into this a bit more, I suspect the brace is just a band-aid to improve bearing life, and doesn't really serve any other purpose. I ran some analysis on the Honda linkage arms, and the reaction moment at the bearing is surprisingly large. There's not much info that I could find about permissible moments on roller needle bearings, but the Koyo technical reference states: "When a couple load (overturning moment) is imposed on a single row of needle rollers, the resulting uneven distribution of load can seriously affect bearing life. In such cases, two rows of needle rollers...

If we removed Jett from the racing. We would be talking about Sexton and Tomac battling and seeing Tomac in Beast mode around Daytona riding the wheels off a 450. Jett is just better and making the racing we watched all last year in SX seem slower or the riders have fallen off the pace.

Unfortunately, I believe this is partially it.

Usually the guys at the track that are just on the cusp of local pro but aren't quite fast enough to get around everyone cleanly on a practice day.
