Seems like the KTM group is getting lenient about their 48mm fork usage for their Factory riders. Webb might have had something to do with that. Now that Sexton is the main guy, I'm sure they want to cater a little more to make their rider's feel confident in the suspension.

What do you mean lenient? Plessinger ran the stock AER outdoors most or all of this year and at the end of last year. Musquin ran it a couple of outdoor races last year too. The new chassis is stiff enough it doesn't seem to need the larger diameter forks.

I always remember it being unheard of for KTM to use their 48mm forks on a factory bike ever since they made the 52's. They're just so proud of their brand, they couldn't accept that 48mm is just fine.

The production bikes use the 48. You would think they would rather show something that looks more like the production fork on the pro bikes. Obviously winning comes first but if you can do it on production level or at least looks production that should help elevate the brand.

They used the 52’s in the previous gen frames to increase rigidity for sx because those frames were way less rigid than this gen frame. Now that the frame is more rigid they are going back to the 48 to get more comfort/feel. This is why you don’t see any aluminum frames bikes with 52mm forks on them. It’s all about the feel. It’s not to say a bigger guy like Mookie might like the feel of the 52’s. But in general most guys like the 48’s better on this gen frame.

The 2024 KTM350xcf (not sxf) FE is not really a woods bike…it is a cross country/do it all bike.  It has a 18” vs 19” rear wheel, a 6 not 5 speed transmission, a slight larger gas tank, a kickstand, suspension valving between the sxf and exc (KTM’s woods racer), and Red Bull/FMF factory edition graphics and other bling (orange anodized parts).  It’s the next best thing/as close as you can get the the sxf FE if you prefer the add ons of the FE without the 450 power.  The KTM GNCC teams use them since a 450 is generally too much for woods riding…

Yeah man that's a woods bike it's sure not a moto bike.

Dude I know for sure that the small hole they put in the new KTM frame will make me 10 seconds a lap faster on the Fox Raceway Vet track...

The rear end on current gen chassis is extremely rigid, that huge cut out and whatever other differences like thinning out the frame in places will absolutely make a difference for A and B riders.

Nice find. Subtly different front fender bend (down a little more in front).’23-24 looks very good 👍

Nice that they brought back the connectivity and tuning feature/module that the old bikes had, and without putting it in the bar pad. Wonder if the 23/24 bikes can add that on to get connectivity? I also am curious to hear why they changed the shrouds up. I didn't mind the 23/24 look but the new FE shroud is even better IMO.

Not at all rigid for me, IMO it is a better handling 450 than the 2022 which I still own.

The nice thing is they are coming up with refinements for this bike every year. Maybe the 2025 frame is even better, but for me the bike is pretty damn good as it is…

I am stoked to hear that the only thing holding me back is the unrideable chassis on my 23, now its fixed I can think about being ready for A1.

No matter if you love or hate KTM, there is no question that the brand is doing more than anyone in trying to advance  new technology.

I've been out of the loop on the FE's the last couple of years, but are the Husky FE updates normally inline with the KTM? Will the next Husky FE also have an updated frame, suspension, connectivity unit etc?

Is this something Factory team added to frame? Plus there is mounting for steering shock welded on front.
