Only $10 for all 2026 SX, MX, and SMX series.
Just based on that qualifying race seems product is ready.
I'll say this race shows that Honda prototype is fairly competitive, for a 9 min race.
Tomorrow we will know how it fares for a little over 15 min.
Honda, give us the damn specs!
Would have been nice to see more of the track. Trey looked a little cautious. Gnarly track.

Better video here for that first race
Telling that Trey said he tests a lot of bikes and this was the only one to put a smile on his face lately!
I'm not expert but that suspension looks way too soft in that video, looked like the bike was wallowing quite a bit in areas
Trey is pretty crafty with suspension, I bet he's quite a bit more comfortable next time out and we all know that means he'll be faster.
I doubt Trey will go checkers or wreckers in front of the Honda brass on the prototype. Bike did look like it could use a few clicks in on comp and rebound.
That is just so great to finally see this prototype racing.
About the suspensions sure they will adapt but we do not have a clue about the weight. Some find the 118 kg Varg porky but I doubt you can pack similar performance in a much lighter electric package in 2023.
Some of the HRC guys must have spent years developing this bike, its first race must be quite emotional for them. All smiles, no shame, it's at a very decent level for its first public outing.
Though it would have been even more impressive a couple years ago, now that the Varg is out there the expectations for this electric Honda became much higher.
Bike looked awesome today. If it was out I would get one over Stark but might take too long to get that on shop floor.
Yep, cue the conversation about early adopters, laggards, and how long it would take for traditional manufacturers to catch up to start up companies with a head start.
Honda has been developing this prototype for a long time (first presented in 2017 as a Mugen project), they cannot be that far from green lighting a production model. Other OEM who knows but if they had something exciting now would be a good time to come out of the woods. People on the cautious side of the spectrum will be much more attracted to Honda EMX than to a Stark (or Flux or whatever newcomer).
This weekend was very successful for Honda in terms of sporting results and media attention, that can only help more customers/manufacturers/motorcycle federations pause for thought about EMX. It may not be just a niche for turtleneck lovers after all.
Bike looked much better in Moto1 than yesterday's qualifying (chassis, suspension setup-wise), but checkers or wreckers it was in Moto3. Noticed there was a Honda viewing platform near Turn 2 after the start, with a direct line of sight to the crash and wait to push it off the track at the end of the moto...Tough day in the office.
I should have known TC41 was just gonna send it!
Would you still buy it if MXA tested both and said the Honda was s*&t?
Maybe a dumb observation, but from watching the starkvarg vids and everyone saying power is insane, that qualifying video of TC41 on the Honda made it seem a little underpowered vs the 450’s to my eyes. Maybe just track conditions though.
Also, who else was pulling for Trey to pass that dude and forgot they were watching an electric bike vid?
Check this out
Wass and Bailey holding hands, it's been a fantasy of mine for months. "The best MX bike in the world" racing the "preeminent global series unlocking the sport's global potential"...
A new era begins!
Pit Row
Allowing the Stark Varg to race would be the smartest thing Bailey could do for his series. Wonder how the FIM is voting in his "poll".
Do you have a notification setting for every time WSX is mentioned???
There are some very sweet pictures of details of the bike here

I think there is just one close up pic that is not from the bike, and I like the Mugen sticker on the front fender.
They guesstimate the weight around 130 kg.
That was damn impressive, now I want to see this prototype racing against the Varg and 450s.
The new plan to charge electricity customers based on their income didn't come from the utilities. They have no choice and neither does the Public Utilities Commission implementing it-- it came from state legislation.
So many parts look production ready. Do they have app to setup or did they just connect laptop at race weekend?
Did Jay Wilson forget how to turn? Seriously.
Welcome to your future....
KTM AG in 5,4,3,2,1 (Looks like an awesome bike also)
WSX will be the big winner, they think long range, have new investors, Global.
AMA thinks they're so forward thinking letting Pro's ride with Amateur's , which is pretty sad.
Folks are still buying the 450, no?
Honda will enter FIM explorer cup with their CR electric prototype.

The bike was very competitive in its lone Japan MX outing so not sure if Honda wants to avoid direct comparison with ICE or if more Japan wildcards are in order? I would love to see it race in other series against more established bikes and riders... though it might be tricky to be allowed racing a prototype with no production bike in sight?
Also curious to see if they will get any competition in this new "hyperbike" category?
Still it's good to see this bike getting some development and it's probably a good sign regarding its eventual transition into a production bike in the coming years.
They would likely race a pre-production prototype in the All Japan Motocross Championship the year before a production version goes on sale.
The bike certainly looks fast and I can certainly see a market for these Electric bikes, but I imagine a gate full of these things at a AMA Pro Supercross or Motocross race and I'd have interest for about 10 seconds and I'd be off to see if there was a local amateur race with a bunch of 2 and 4 strokes racing. Can't get over the sound of that Electric motor in a dirt bike and these would KILL! the AMA Supercross series if the gates were full of Electric bikes.
