Is Marv going to take another swipe at a SX title in 2024? Will he do outdoors? Will KTM keep him on as an ambassador, since he's been with the brand for damn near forever?

All this stuff may have been answered around here before...but I never saw it.

Frankly, although I'm a big fan...I don't see him having the slightest chance of beating Sexton, the Lawrence bros, Webb & the rest of the fast youngsters. But, the sport is certainly better with Marvin Musquin in it!

They really ought to let ferrandis ride a ktm for supercross. I think he would be great on a lighter bike. Ktm group must not like him for one reason or another

They tried to sign him when he first went to 450's.

Unfortunately, I think Dylan has gained a reputation since then that may make him less than desirable with guys like DeCoster. I don’t think KTM likes “difficult” guys.

He's also not cheap. I get the impression from the comments this summer that he's willing to retire if it doesn't make enough financial sense to race next season.

Marv seems to have a good relationship with KTM, probably not a championship contender but always a podium threat.  I always figured he would become a full time test rider if he retired from competition, there has been no mention of that.

Maav should go to gas gas. And drop down to 250 outdoors.

It’s a pity Marv wasn’t around this year, SMX would have been perfect for his skill set.

I know 2023 was a wash, but in 2022 he had a win and a few podiums.

I feel he could easily be top 5 regularly.

Am I remembering correctly that Marv has never lost a single race in Redbull Straight Rhythm?  He has incredible bike skills.  I could see a good season of SX and I would definitely put him in the top 5-7 range with a threat any weekend to podium.  He's at a similar place in his career as Anderson and Barcia.  I don't want to see him hang it up yet.  That and he's just a fantastic person.

Why on earth would he ride a 250 outdoors?

Because he’s without a ride and could easily clear 300 in his sleep for another two years based on his name and what ifs. Also he’s fun to watch

That reminds me; there is no straight rhythm this year, correct?

I hope KTM just says fuck it and let’s Marv do a full farewell tour for 2024.

I haven't read much in this thread , but as far as Marv goes , I sure would like to see him out there in SX for one more season. In my opinion, KTM owes him that much. He stayed loyal to that team for a long time , and he gave a hell of a fight in every single race. The way he just vanished doesn't seem right to me. I respect racers from all over the planet , and to me , he deserves a send off season if it's his last one.

Requested his number be reserved for 24. Back in Sx on an incentive based contract. Ktm lobbies for 300SX in 450 Sx. Marv wins 24 SX title on a 2 stroke. Retires and enjoys life with beautiful wife & family. Stamp it.

Would be cool but that didn’t seem to go over well with KTM when Kailub Russell and Cairoli did it. Results or the door.
