Who here thinks kawasaki is struggling? The prociruit bikes look great. By now AC and Anderson should have gotten some results. Everyone can see what happened when Tomac went from Kawasaki to star racing.

What results has pc gotten lately?

Besides Jo everyone is having a horrible year,  and Jo just started getting results.

It ain’t the bike or team, it’s the riders.  JA won a ton of races last year on the same bike.  He’s got millions in the bank, he’s another year older, and married with a kid now.  AC is just too busted up with nerve damage to compete at the top level now, unfortunately (see Robbie Reynard).

If anything, they should bring the 250s back in house if they want to attract elite talent.  The top amateurs like cashing in on personal sponsors (gear, energy drinks, etc.) that are not available to them on the Monster Energy Pro Circuit team.

The only thing Kawi needs for their bike to finish better is someone riding it named Kenny, Jett, Chase or Eli.

AC’s issue is not the bike, he has made that abundantly clear. Anderson doesn’t have winning pace and in my opinion wouldn’t regardless of what he’s riding. Every team has their ups and downs. Kawi is currently in a downward trend. It’s how the sport goes.

Like someone said already, every team has highs and lows. Remember back in the late 2000s PC kawi was the elite team go be on. Now it's star yamaha. In the 450s it's Honda now. Hell in 10 years suzuki may be the most elite team. It's just ups and down of motocross

Definitely the rider. Even so, I think Barcia has done better on the GG.

Kawi needs to work on slimming their bike down, or at least make it look slimmed down.

Suzuki the elite team in 10 years?

Only if motocross bikes switch to empty frames in favour of an outboard motor hanging off the back.

Love a yellow bike, awesome seeing Kenny on one, hope they do bring things back around.

As for Kawi, I don't know OP... I like Mitch and Co as much as the next guy, I'm actually wearing a pro circuit t shirt as we speak, but it's just one of those time periods where a team can't catch a break.

Only if he doesn't turn out to be an elite 450 rider. Star Yamaha is not letting him go. Hunter is my pick to replace Anderson on the green machine in a couple of years.

It was literally 12 months ago Jason Anderson wrapped up a 9 win season. I think he could still win if he wants to. He won damn near 1/3 of the races he entered in 2022.

The Honda has been the only machine that has been universally commented negatively on - “Don’t push it too hard or it will spit you off.”

The Kawi hasn’t had any of these issues. Neither has the Yami or Zook, but Eli was obviously able to push it to the max.

Gee, wonder why? Maybe because he was on the Kawi longer?

Never won both championships on a Kawi though, did he?

Honda has made some silly decisions in the past, but unless Hunter absolutely shits the bed on a 450 (not likely), I see them riding the Lawrence gravy train as far as it'll go.

Unless Honda Japan kicks in some bucks, I could see Kawi making a serious play for Jo in the future, though

So, just to make sure, you're talking about the winningest factory team in the past twenty years right? Home of Tomac, Villopoto, Stewart, and Carmichael.

Factory kawasaki from all reports is very rigid in their program so maybe taking control out of the factory's hand could help but at this point it seems that their riders are the weak link. Anderson either isn't as hungry or the competition has improved and left him behind and AC can't stay off the ground.

Unless you have a Lawrence, Sexton, Tomac or Roczen on your bike I don't see you getting a win next season

If Hunter is the third fastest rider in a couple of years, Honda will have to kick in some serious bucks to keep him. Honda usually starts dumping riders in that 26+ age range not paying them big money.

Don't they pay contingency far better than other brands though?  Not saying the bike sucks but privateers ride what bike pays the most the vast majority of the time.

I think Mitch wants to keep Pro Circuit 250 only. He’s done some one-off 450s but has stayed true to 250s.

I wonder if he’s had the opportunity to take the factory team before?

9/26/2023 10:40pm

Wasn't the last title delivered by pro circuit Cianciarulo outdoors in '19? Prior to that, hill won a regional SX title in '17. And that's it for the whole decade.

Meanwhile factory Kawi has seven Championships in the last 10 years.
