I honestly think this is great for the sport. A different look compared to other bikes in some aspects. Nov 28th is the official drop too

I'm curious when these will hit dealers. Also with it being a brand new bike are distributors going to have parts right away? I imagine it's going to take quite some time to be able to order any and all parts for that bike. Would hate to buy one then have a crash and not be able to order replacement parts for it

I have a feeling many KTM parts would swap over, the motors look identical with different exterior casting contours, the head looks identical but with the coolant inlet on the front instead of the side..

That being said, seems like you cant get KTM parts right now so the answer is still no lol

1st off…That 5 speed MX bad ass motor is all Triumph. That frame? Yup…allllll Triumph. Those electronics? Triumph. Weight…? Well, are we ready to be surprised? Is it going to be as light as a KTM? Or will it be in-line with, say, the Yamaha?

As for parts availability? Having parts in the system and readily available is part of the scheduled model development and product delivery. I have friends that have a bad habit of dropping/crashing their Tigers and needing parts that they never thought they’d need…no problem. Can I say that for some more popular brands that are discussed here-in? No. Do I have friends contacting me to help them find normal replacement or even warranty parts for some of the current bikes we're all riding? Yes. So, I don’t see the issue when it comes to Triumph. Heck, my biggest concern would be where the hell am I gonna get extra plastic? Answer: Initially, probably only form Triumph…so, if I get one I’m ordering an extra set on day 1! Woohoo

Personally, I see/have seen design inputs in that bike that you could say come form originators like Cosworth or Yamaha or KTM or Kawasaki…etc.

As I’ve said before, some of the vendors appear to be the same as other Euro-brands.

Personally, I’m looking forward to the all new 450. In the meantime, I’m thinking I may need to lose a few pounds and try the 250. Laughing

That bike is bad ass and comes from a company that decided to go racing and has an incomparable legacy. I’m in.

For what it's worth, we even struggled to get OEM air filters for the new KTM's for a significant length of time earlier this year. We had to source them directly from Twin Air.  Two-stroke top-ends? LOL...KTM group has more than their share of parts availability issues. Everything will be fine.

Aren't the KTM and Yamaha just a few pounds apart (and about the same accounting for the air-spring difference)?

Last time we weighed them without gas, the “outgoing” YZ-F was a few pounds heavier. Don’t know what the “new” 2024 YZ-F will weigh…yet. Saw one last week, good looking bike.

Yeah, but marginally, aside from the Honda and Gas Gas (which will be heavier for '24), all the 250s are about the same.

The thing I am curious about is the release date...will the first year be minimal units and split groups like mentioned early on to comply with rules? I am first on a local dealer list, now that this has been officially released, I imagine things will move along at a decent clip. Any guess on price??

The 2023 YZ250F and 250 SX-F are within a pound of each other. The 2024 YZ250F lost almost three pounds too.

So the YZ is roughly the same as the SX even with the spring-air difference and may flip ahead for '24. But both (and most other 250s) are within a couple pounds of each other.

Ask Kenny if a few extra pounds matter as much as a great handling bike.

Your “feeling” reminds me of the itch I get in my sweaty buttcrack after a long day of yard work.

Its a nice game of spot the difference - KTM and Triumph share manufacturing in the East.  KTM with a Ali frame and KYB.
Its a start.  Development will continue how much they will grow their own or remain the same time will tell.  KTM Husky Gas Gas Triumph - Nice big parts pool

I really like the look of that bike and I'll never complain on having more choices of brand of bikes to purchase.   Excellent for the sport and I'm predicting they'll be competing for Championships soon.

Yeah Excel Takasago. That's true. Had already named Keihin. But with both, we are talking highly elite, expensive, best-of-best global suppliers that are shared by every single current bike manufacturer. Not knockoff bearings or whatever.

That’s because it did!

They developed the whole bike around the 2022 gen KTM 250 engine and there appears to be a bunch of parts that will cross over.

The close up pic of stanton riding I thought I recognized the rear sprocket. It's a JT rear aluminum.

Spoke with a couple local dealers and they said should be hitting their showrooms sometime in the beginning of next year. Also asked about parts and they plan on having plenty of parts in stock to accompany the new model by the time they start arriving.

They are using older KTM model not current as their base.
