Well, that's their right to do so, no? All I've been reading here the last couple of days is that InFront should pay the American riders (more) so they would come over. When some GP riders get the same at a local race, it's almost called greed all of a sudden.

The USA team is the star attraction of the Motocross of Nations.  The American team in the past has had to hire security to thwart the crush of fans trying to get near them during this event.

the draw of this race  is USA versus the rest of the world. That is what draws fans and attention to the event.
Without the USA team racing, it is just another MXGP.

I love MXGP and I think this year, the rider talent in Europe is equal or greater than American outdoor racers.  But InFront should be at least giving some funds to the USA team, “ start money” if you will, because like it or not they are the stars of this event.

There will be just as big a crowd, and the racing will be just as good, without the USA there. Sure, overall, the more high talent there is, the better the racing might be. But high talent comes from more places than the USA. With the way anything can happen at this race, you don't need USA riders there for excitement,  that will come anyway. Like it or not.

The top talent from AMA motocross will be racing the MXdN, but they will be representing Australia!

Masterpool has appendicitis and is on antibiotic overload, he can't go, for health reasons.

And Craig is way better than Harlan, no disrespect intended...

That might be the US perspective but it isn't for the rest of the world. The 2021 MXoN, (first time USA didn't send a team since 2004) was just as good as it always is.

Don't get me wrong, I'd love to see a team USA at Ernee like everyone else but MXoN is way bigger than just one nation or even continent.

Why didn't they just get Peirce Brown? I know he's not the fastest rider atm, but he definitely has talent and could surprise at an event like this. Plus, he is literally on a GasGas and could have made this whole thing a lot easier!

General consensus?  Yes.

I hope he's up to speed and 100% health by race day ...

It seems to be leaking through various moto media that they got it worked out.

I want a video of Christian Craig sitting on the couch watching SMX with is family…then he gets up, grabs his gear bag…heads out the door…

Next scene…he’s walking out of the exit doors at CDG airport in Paris and catching a ride to MXoN…from DV12.

Not disagreeing.
In that case, it shouldn’t make a damn bit of difference to anyone outside of the US if we send a team or not.

If you can’t send the best why go?

Seriously, besides the point structure for this event what is the difference from a MXGP?

Ive always looked at this event at just a way for GP and USA to race against each other.

Im just being honest, I watch it every year I root for the home team but I really don’t see the hype for USA.

Add in SMX and some corny WSX attempt and it’s pretty obvious no one wants to go especially without a payday.

Flame away, but it’s my truth. 🙃

If Chase just puts on his Captain America pants, and says fuck this, I’m going, it’s my last race on Honda, who’s with me… I struggle to believe the other riders and teams wouldn’t fall in line.

Doesn't it seem like KTM management doesn't want Chase to race the Honda at the desNations? Previously he stated he would go, Honda said they would support him, then later he states he has to do preseason testing?

His Honda contract runs through (and actually slightly past) the MXoN dates, KTM wouldn't have say over him racing the Honda there.
