I have a few 110s for myself and the kids to ride, but the growing neighbor kids are now on 125Fs and 150s. Makes we want to get a new slightly bigger pitbike for our small MX track. Would be fun on a slightly bigger bike than a 110, and with a clutch. Are the 125s and 150s any fun or stick with the 110s?
I have my ycf daytona 190 built to a super mini 19x16 wheels, they come stock 17x14. Lots of opinions but its a blast on small to intermediate vet type mx tracks, i also run the 17x14 and 14x12 on it for the little tra ks that have wheel size restrictions. Like it so much i have 2, for friends others to ride with me. Ive had a built klx125, big bore kx100 forrks swing arm etc. Ycf is better in every respect for me, lighter faster. And yes not the same resale value, but when im done with riding i dont really care, im 60.
My son wants to sell his pitter and get a surron.
There are usually 'trail bike' classes now for teenagers/adults at some of the pitbike races. Front wheel can be up to 19" in most cases. I see a lot of KLX140's, CRF150F's, CRF125's, DRZ125's and some TTR125's and XR100's in that class.
Anything in that size range you can have a blast on. Plus, although they're still small, they're not ridiculously and uncomfortably small.

Tarlia MX4. 10x better than any 110 or something of that sorts
We are staying with basically stock CRF110s. I feel like you start going bigger and it starts getting to where you want to do more and before you know it someone is hurt. I think the 110 is a lot better than the 50s back in the day but don't want to go bigger. Auto clutch is a lot easier for at the track too if you need to carry something.
Speaking of pit bikes, what happened to all the BBR aluminum-framed bikes out there? People still riding those around? I remember one dude absolutely ripping on one during practice at Robbins Ridge/Foggy Bottom here in NC about 15 years ago.
I have a ttr125 big wheel with yz85 forks and am currently putting a built xr80 motor into a cr85 chassis, Hoping for a fun bike out of that. Worst case it gets a xr100 motor.
Why does the rear end look so out of proportion?
Highly recommend a KLX140L (better shock than the small wheel version). I’ve got 2 (and a 140G), one is a full mod with KX85 suspension and a stroked 186 motor, the other is a stock/mod, just a 170 kit and custom Cannon Racecraft springs. I love the stock/mod more than my mod bike. I’ve ridden it on AX, and MX tracks, it’s a blast!
I might do the wheel swap to mine, I like the bigger wheels and can run up to a 17" rear and 19" front in the pitbike series here. I may still buy a factory Daytona and do the 212cc kit to it
On order.
James was badass on a 110 too!
I likes it alot.
I sold my YCF 150 Pilot to get a 73 CZ 250.
Bur I still have old reliable. 78 XR75.
Pit Row
One of mine.
Hopefully none getting tired of fools riding them around late at night in the pits with loud ass pipes.
Hard to beat a big bore xr100. Throw on some 80 wheels to make it more pit bike sized and they rip. The build quality far surpasses any of the Chinese bikes that are sold today
Just gave my 08 110 some much needed love. BBR fat boy springs, gytr pipe and clutch kit, 1” handlebar risers, a “mini trail” style custom seat from the guy who makes boat seats in Dana Point. (Everyone laughs at the seat until they ride it) new chain and sprockets (+ 1 tooth on the rear per mxa guidelines) new oil and filter, battery, brakes, tires, pivot point lubed. White plastic, new graphics with shameless plug for my business (and a write off) new plug and levers. Put battery powered lights from my YT to be after dark legal in the desert.
"per MXA guidelines" 😂
Mandatory for all bikes, all years, always.
I have a stock 110 and a built 140L. The 110 is just a blast if everyone is on pretty stock bikes. We ride the 140’s on big bike tracks when not at a pit bike race and it’s a pretty fun bike. Raced a big bike class, raced a hare scramble, race a pit bike race. (They have a class for them at pit bike races) All around versatile bike!
Another on a klx140l, has sx parts 170 big bore kit with cam and a mikuni vm26 carb, and pro circuit exhaust and it is a blast to ride, currently had stock suspension but currently trying to find a decent set of kx85 forks and triples
22 klx110L
bbr u flow is a must
dnm shock with pre load
fast 110 front fork springs
bbr rev box
bbr swing arm is a must
fatty front tire is also really nice
pro circuit ti-4 system
Pro taper triple clamp
pro taper xr50 bars left wide
About to put on piranha levers also
the bike rips and is much more stable with the swing arm
Electric pit bikes are going to be the new thing
Ebox
2002 ttr-125 small wheel. BBR springs, BBR frame cradle, pro circuit t-4, pro taper 7/8 bars with risers, crf150r shift lever, custom chain guide, jetted stock carb. It’s gonna get a better carb if I go big bore. This thing is a blast and a lot of fun on smaller tracks. I had a klx110 before and it was fun but this bike is more versatile. I have a 94 kx80 chassis I’m considering modding the suspension and brakes onto the ttr.
