Maybe more of a trend of 4 strokes and supercross. Seems more and more teams are suffering engine failures at the wrong time.
PC bike breaking resulting in a rider getting hurt? Well that is not a new thing. Sure a part of PCs struggles with injuries have been because of bad luck but i feel like they have by far the most mechanical issues resulting in hurt riders the last decade.
PC been trying to keep their motors on par with Star. Maybe they have gone over the edge...
Electric is still a bit away, but I am excited to see less catastrophic injures from bike failures brought about by ebikes.

Does it seem to have gone downhill since Bones retired?
“Doc says i’m good”
all i cam say if cm is not racing, he is gonna be out awhile. That kid is tough as nails.
Maybe it is a time of a little "reset". Mitch is probably still one of the best engine guys in he business. But it feels like his riders get maybe pushed to hard to take risks to follow, or he takes riders who take to much risks. With Austin Forkner (25y) and Cameron McAdoo (23y) you've two riders who should've showed more, Seth Hammaker who's also already 23 years old more of a late bloomer. Than you've Jo Shimoda who's is two years younger (21y) and has been in the past the most consistent and the closest to the Lawrence Brothers. Both Jett Reynolds (19y) and Ryder DiFrancesco (18y) are having some time to grow, but not an eternity. Because let us be honest, someone like Danny Laporte won his first overall in his rookie year when he was 19 year old. Jason Lawrence won his Lites SX Championship when he was 21 years old. Ezra Lusk won his first, main event 125 when he was 18 years old. Just to show that you can't take too much time.
Biggest problem with Austin Forkner is: His strong suit is supercross but he is very injury prone what makes him almost unsustainable. He won in 7 seasons, one outdoor overall and 12 Lites/250 Mains but no championship. Cameron McAdoo won two main events in the 250 class since 2017. Beside that is the fact that he's also not good in motocross. Seth Hammaker is a weird case, being already 23 years old, he's now riding his third season. So he is a late starter and he also won a main event, and isn't that weak in motocross. You could keep him together with Jo Shimoda and the two young guys Jett Reynolds and Ryder DiFrancesco to work with. I don't know if they still work with Ivan Tedesco as Research & Development rider, but besides the rider should everything inside the team including IT9, being critical evaluated. And thinking about next moves, moves from contacting riders to buying Swanepoel away from Star...
One thing I know for sure is that Mitch is probably still a little bitter about the fact that the Hunter and Jett just walked away from Kawasaki because the European team closed doors. Knowing they still had 4 years of contract with Kawasaki, they could've placed them with BUD Kawasaki, create an own team, promote Pfeill to MX2 and EMX team... Non of that happened and Kawasaki and afterwards Suzuki lost two of the (back than) future stars of the sport.

yep...reading between the lines i wld say engine seizure.............
So the last time PC won a AMA regional SX was Justin Hill?
2017. Probably shoulda been AC and Forkner in 2019 if things went just a little differently
Well rumor is one of the lowest paying base salaries and bonus based contract, maybe they also cheap out on mechanics and this is what you get? 🤷♂️
The 250 class is going faster, and everyone is pushing themselves. Star lost most of their riders in 21 and three championship winners in 22.
This is a rough sport, guys get hurt and that’s the truth. I really feel sorry for Jett Reynolds, he’s to the point where he may never get a chance. He moved up too early and payed the price. Now He has injuries stacked up on each other.
Is it me, or since Bones retired, this seems all too common.
I think so, CM was a motor failure so probably nothing bones can do there but for sure a lot of other wierd crashes since Bones left
Engine broke, not a chain issue?
How do you know?
Amen, telling Chaparral to suck a dick and lowering the price of Dunlops would be a start
PC is down bad. They don't have the bike advantage they once had. The best guys want to be on Star or Honda (for the bike). And they want to be on Honda, or KTM to make more money from their own gear deal.
Pit Row
The P-C ward at the local hospital.
It may be over?
Hammaker winning tonight couple points away from leading the coast... would be nice for Kawi and Mitch. He deserves it.
If they keep the black rear end they’ll be sweet
If I was Mitch I’d do it out of superstition 😂
What happened to drew adams? They completely forgot about him when he dropped off screen.
Broken thumb.
Crashed in whoops, finally showed a bad angle of it during post race.
Happy for PC
I was thinking the same, Mitch won a lot more with black on his bikes lol
I didn't remember Cameron being out this year, even though I started this thread. Saw it is 3 years old!
Agreed!
Can the title be edited??
Great night for Hammacher. Drew Adams showed us something with fastest qualifier and that heat race win. Finally showing some serious sparks. I don't know what happened in the main to DNF but I hope he is ok??
Someone bumped this thread at the same moment they announced Adams broke his thumb.
Yeah, it let me edit thread name so I put 2023!!!
Post a reply to: PC Curse continues...McAdoo out April of 2023!!!
