I don’t see why it wouldn’t make it to the market. Whether or not it’s successful is the real question. Triumph is an established and highly successful company and they seem to be surrounding themselves with the right people. I hope it is a great bike and is successful.
It will have KYB Suspension.
Triumph North Americas headquarters is in Atlanta. Wouldn’t surprise me at all if they had a big presence at the Atlanta SX and debuted the bike there.
Cannondale was a bicycle maker. Triumph has been building motorcycles for well over a 100 years and the 60’s Bonneville is one of the most recognizable bikes ever made. If you have a chance to look/ride any of their current models it would change your expectations. I’m expecting a build quality on par with KTM/Husky/GasGas. I’m excited to have another brand on the track and hope they succeed and stick around for the long haul

Since it's British, maybe it'll have a brazed frame. /s
I also remember hearing that, so they could get a head start on chassis development while they were still designing the motor. Not sure if it was accurate or not though.
I ride ADV bikes with a few buddies, some of which own or have owned Triumphs and certainly the build quality is awesome. Seems like on the edge of having some quirky stuff but its more unique and well engineered thank quirky. Im sure the bike will be objectively great, if that transfers to SX/MX success whos knows. Hell the 2023 KTMs struggled at first as well.
Ill be at Atlanta SX this weekend it would be awesome if they had the bike debuted there but youd think theyd be hyping it up if that was the case.
That’s the rumor.
I think you mean BMW
That rumor has come and gone, no bike at ATL. There was talk of us checking out the new facility that's less than an hour south of there but it's not quite show-ready yet.
The latest rumor I heard is their semi might be at Salt Lake Supercross or the Pro Motocross opener...
🤔 🍿
I think you missed the point - someone claims to have seen the bike and their observation was it looks just like a KTM - steel frame, similar plastic design, etc... I'm not suggesting it's not a brand new bike built from the ground up, but the rumor floating around is that the bike looks just like a KTM. Who knows... rumors are rumors. Until we actually see the bike, no one really knows anything. I for one am excited to see it and happy to see a new manufacturer in the game.
I frankly don't see how Triumph or any bike manufacturer can come up with anything truly "revolutionary" or "game changing." Dirt bikes aren't that complicated, nor do they invite anything truly "revolutionary." The only revolution we will see in our lifetimes is the transition to electric motors.
So it is going to be a rebadged Fantic?
No, it's a black Kawasaki. With a Suzuki motor. Maybe Ohlins forks and a KYB shock. It's all very clear.
This is what you get when nobody has any real information, or the people that do actually have done a good job keeping it under wraps.
And Cannondale!!
Birmingham birthplace of the mighty Black Sabbath you say, maybe Ozzys just around the corner from you too!
I heard that Triumph has been renting out one of the local tracks to me (Fatcats) in the north of England through the week, apparently they also have a SX track built at this facility.
The source told me they had a KTM 250F to run along side the Triumph to run reliability tests, I guess this means putting the same hours on both bikes to see how the wear and tear matches up. That's a lot of man hours if that is the case.
I'm looking forward to seeing how this pans out and I hope that it's a success for all concerned.
If what you’re saying is correct, Ferry wouldn’t be on a blacked out yzf.
Pit Row
Sad face.... I'm amazed we haven't seen anything on it.
I wonder if it’s taking so long because they are trying to find something (frame geometry?) that will easily work once they inevitably make an e bike. That time is coming soon.
The longer we dont see it for, the longer they have to get it right, but the less time they have to get the production stuff right.
no pic's so far looks like there is no bike to take a pic of lol
Ahh yes, it's all a fake. All this work for no motorcycle...eye roll...
ya all paint shop.....see above 🤪
Triumph either has a ton of money to spend, or they are taking a huge risk. What they are doing has to be costing a boat load of money.
Too risky for the bikes to get stolen.
As an owner of a pre fire Triumph I can say that that is not my experience. It took 15 years to make it work right. I began referring to it as my “life’s problem.” The bike is desirable so it’s strengths outweigh its shortcomings and I’ve kept it.
A BMW/ Triumph dealer told me “look, if this was a BMW, they do testing and research, I could have your bike figured out pretty quickly, but it’s a Triumph and they let us do the testing and research so…”
I do think it is better than KTM.
The talked about that on swap moto live this week too
