Absolutely, as Goofy Foot wrote, low light raises ISO, which brings in grain. This is true of even the most expensive DSLR's (though they can go much higher on ISO before it becomes a problem). GoPros have never been great low light performers, and the ... more »

Yeah, I wouldn't shoot MX videos without some sort of stabilization. Now that being said there are software programs that will take out some of the shakiness to varying degrees of acceptability. One such program is Reel Steady. It uses the Gyro data ... more »

Your welcome. I have done a lot of experimenting and learning with the GoPro 7 and 8. If you need any help with other settings, and stuff once you choose yours, I'd be happy to help.

I am not sure of the price difference between the 8 and 9, but the 8 is more than capable of giving you a high quality amateur video. I use the GoPro 8 black for helmet cam footage, and I think the quality is really good. I use the Dango Designs helmet ... more »

Added reply in a thread Looking for my first bike I'm around 5'5 what would people recommend 10/8/2020 8:12 AM

I’d say the TTR 230 or CRF 230. A little smaller in stature than the 250f’s, and down on power, but the right size and power for a first bike owner. They are both very capable bikes to learn the skills of MX, and then you can move up to the larger more ... more »

I use the Garmin Vivo HR+, and it works pretty well. I use it with the free lit pro app. It’s pretty cool.

Then I am not sure. I thought that is what I heard the announcers say, but maybe not

I think it was she had the next fastest lap time in practice.

I heard them mention she was the second woman to qualify, but couldn’t think of who would be first. Did he mean Vicky Golden? I think she qualified for a Supercross once. Not sure who he was referring to. Good for Jordan by the way. That’s an awesome ... more »

I run 64 because it is the year I was born. Just like the number now.

AC looks the hungrier of the green riders. If a Kawasaki were to win the title this year, I think it would be his.

Yup, and it will be in the low 80's this weekend, and mid to upper 80's next week. It's Colorado, it could be 80's. or 30's on race day. you just never know. My guess would be mid 70's and pleasant, but we will see.

I have seen it. It’s good, not great in my opinion. The story of Bobs bike being heavier and not up to the Suzuki is interesting, but the footage is old and grainy, and there is really only so much you can say or show before it seems repetitive. That’s ... more »

Ok purely speculation on my part, but is that why Craig was seen on an HRC bike?

Added reply in a thread 1979 Honda CR250 Price Check 7/28/2020 7:24 AM

Very nice bike. Looks to be mostly all there. It does not have the original “claw action” tires anymore. Also the rear sprocket looks worn from the photo, I see a distinct C shape in the teeth, though that could be the angle of the photo. Looks like ... more »

Added reply in a thread 125 all star cancelled, and other rumors 6/24/2020 5:44 PM

The only date I remembered from the leak I saw was Thunder Valley to end the series Oct 3/4. Who knows though, it's such a fluid situation, I wouldn't take any dates to the bank, including the ones announced. Look at Floridas cases, over 5000 new case ... more »

I agree, but I think you missed my point. I'm not saying Webb would have won, or anything like that. I am saying these last 7 battles between Webb and Tomac were epic to watch. I was saying how great it would have been to have the two battle all season ... more »

Can you imagine how great this season would have been if Cooper Webb was healthy from the start? Who knows, Tomac may have still come away with the title, but the battles would have been epic.

Added reply in a thread ACL recovery time? 6/1/2020 8:14 AM

I have had ACL repair in both knees. I think 6 months to get back on a bike is realistic. You will start feeling strong enough around 3-4 months, but you really aren’t ready. Most important is to rehab. At a certain point you will feel you no longer ... more »
