They said one little slip up in the points and Deegan would be right there to capitalize, he's 67 points back......

James and Weege kept saying how “DEEGS IS RIDING THE PACE OF THE LEADERS” as he was making his way thru the pack. Now I get he was slicing the pack apart going from 31st to 4th. However, after lap 2, Deegan was 27 seconds down. At the finish, Deegan was 56 seconds down. Great comeback, 100%, however, “riding the leaders pace”? Absolutely not, the Lawrence boys were 2-3 seconds a lap better then him the whole race. 2nd moto, if Jett didn’t wad it up, he would have been 25-30 seconds ahead of Deegan on a clean start. Too bad his antics, mouth and personality make it very difficult to like the kid. I’m VERY surprised he’s not a frequent crasher given how he rides. Kid has mad skills. I’d like to like him but it’s just not in the cards. He could be a class act and America’s darling but half the fans of the sport can’t stomach his BS. He ought to go watch how Dungey handled himself.

Doesn't really clear up the "the lead in lights were off but the red cross flag was still out" in the 450s.Still sounds like there should have been a penalty there.

If they do not penalize Brown, they effectively penalize Jo for following the rules. Its amazing that Jo was the only one to see the lights in real time. They need to be strict with the rule. As much as I may not like them taking a win away from somebody. It has to be done so that riders are not making a judgment when they see a red light or cross flag. And jumping if they think its a mistake. The rule is clear that even if there is no rider down the light or flag mean the same...

I’ve kind of chuckled at the conspiracy posts…but with such clear evidence, and a history of using video to make rulings….i am seriously questioning the integrity of the AMA. In the past there seemed to be some wiggle room, albeit by a very small margin at times (ref off track acceleration), but there is no room this time. They are just saying suck it, the rules don’t apply to Star/Monster this time.

Its extremely clear what should be done according to the rule book, why it hasn't been done already is just the AMA being the AMA........ That screw up totally changed the outcome of the race and it needs to be made right. Joe won, no ifs ands or buts. Brown and anyone else who jumped on Red light had no idea if a there is a dangerous situation on the track or not. The red light must be observed and honored. The win must be taken away and anyone who jumped on red must be docked.

Dropping here from the other thread. I was there, happened right in front of us. Here’s what I saw…. Kelly went off the track from the other lane and ended up on the backside of the finish line jump. The tower started waiving the Red Cross flag and hit the lights as he got back in the correct lane and going pretty quick.
