Can honestly say the young man is done. That is horrible for him and the team but I'm sure JS17 will now finish the year for Kawi.

We'll know more shortly, but "aggravated his wrist" sounds like something minor and he could be back next week.

I'm hoping... We're all hoping.

Just an absolute fucking bummer man.  Hoping this isn’t the end.  Heal up soon AC.

How much more money is Kawasaki going to keep shoveling into this hole?  Time to give him a microphone and see if he does less “Ohhh”ing in the commentary seat than Ricky.

Honestly, I know there’s a lot of talk of loyalty and finishing your career on one brand, but I think it would be good for AC to completely switch up his program, see a new front fender.

Who deserves that factory Kawi seat in place of Adam?

he’s a great dude and I feel sorry for him, but not fitting for a factory seat right now. That’s not to say he won’t get to that level again in the future.

I like Adam...like most everybody else, but I just think he needs some new scenery. He has tons of talent, speed & ability...but something isn't clicking, and I imagine Kawasaki has spent millions on him over the years without any real ROI to speak of. They cannot be thrilled. Maybe AC needs to do some trolling for somewhere else to land. Maybe it would be a refreshing change for him.

My opinion...WSX.

He might be forced to. I'm sure most teams wouldn't mind having him.  But I'm sure the big guaranteed money is out the window with his next contract wherever he ends up.

I’m thought I heard he’s in the first year of a two year contract currently.

If he comes back he needs to actually be healthy and up to speed, nothing worse then watching him limp around.

I said he'd retire by the end of the season. I wish I was wrong, but he doesn't seem to have anything left to try to be able to stay healthy and competitive Sad

AC signed a contract extension and he's with Kawi through 2024.

Yep, and then straight to how great Coop is going inside/outside.  That's about all he's got.

People on the couch need to stop assuming that their expectation of how he should be performing is the same as Kawi’s. It’s not. He’s not being paid to win anymore, I can assure you of that. He’s there to be a Weimer.

Everything seemed to change after the year-off growth spurt. Before he crashed and got up; after growing he seems to go down and get broken. He said size change impacted his riding style.

Grew up with a short kid who was national top 10 in tennis. Parents pumped him full of growth hormone so he could get a "bigger serve." He ended up 6'6" with an enlarged heart and couldn't move to the net. He was toast. He also had a melon head---which led us to nickname him "Big Head." And, yes, after tennis he was a big head (puff, pass, puff). 😎

A quick change in size can change everything.

Did Barcia's take-out cause the injury?
