Hardly any replays.   Sound is way off. Cameras dont know where the action is. And carbunkled and co are just watching race on some tv monitor in some dark room

Were you in a coma last summer? We've got it good right now compared to MavTV.

The last hour of every broadcast for me lags, I think for the main event I watched probably 5-7 minutes of actual movement everything else was frozen. It gets so behind building up over the hour I finish the race 10 minutes after it’s over. Think I’m switching to Sunday mornings so I can actually enjoy the mains

Mine worked great the entire night. We are very fortunate with the tv package this year for only $4.99 a month.

Has been flawless for me from the first broadcast, being able to rewind the live broadcast is a great addition this year. Peacock fucking rocks compared to anything else we've had.

I watched the first two rounds from a hotel room on my laptop and the last two at home on Roku. No problems at all.

That happens to mine too . Leaving it and coming back has solved it for me every time

I've not ever had any issues with Peacock.

It's always the ****ed up production (Bondo).

...and someone needs to stuff a sweaty race sock in Will Cristiens mouth.

International pass has worked great as well. Outdoors was always a PITA to get outside of the US and you needed two different subscriptions,  so this current setup is a big improvement.

For me everything was smooth as butter.

Never had any issues at any point with the stream.

I watch via Apple TV with fast streaming speeds, so I don’t think any issues with lag are Peacock’s fault.

Blair and RC work well together. I like JT and seems he is getting better. My only question is why do they have to drop down to Will Christian every few minutes. Hell why not just put in the booth ? I just can't see the fascination with her on the broadcast.

Tell your other housemates to stop playing xbox and watching porn at the same time that your trying to watch supercross.    Or increase your bandwidth or complain to your ISP.   Your choice.

If I can get a crystal clear image with zero lag or buffering in freaking Alaska, most people should be able to as well. Our internet is literally piped in from an underwater cable. Pay for better connection speeds or stop whinging

Exactly.  Everyone thinks this stuff magically works without decent service AND equipment.  Just because Comcast gave you a shit router/modem and you're supporting public wifi doesn't mean streaming live events will work well.  Get some solid equipment, set it up right and it magically works.  Live streaming is very different than Netflix etc.

Because this broadcast is watched world wide, and maybe some fans watching outside our country, like in the UK or Australia might  appreciate a reporter without an American accent?

For the, I don't know, millionth time, it's not Peacock.  Or any other channel they are on.  This is the same production people (Bondo) that have been doing supercross for years and years and years.

Every round so far has worked great in Wichita, I can start an hour late and rewind to get all caught up for the mains. I only pay for 15mb service, I really think a lot of issues is the bandwidth limit in more densely populated areas. Your speed may be great, but the local host for peacock may be limiting your connection.

This thread shows us both how us far we've come and how spoiled we are.

I remember waiting a week for cycle news to come out to find out who won and six months to watch the race on Motoworld, now we complain about the audio track being slightly off on a live broadcast.

I would rather watch Bert and Ernie give me the race in sign language than to fuck with flo racing or mavtv. It could be much worse. Peacock isn’t that bad.

2/4/2023 9:36pm

I have the peacock app on my "smart TV" and have no issues. I think its cool to come back a few days later and watch the replay also.

Quality sucked tonight. Almost to the point where it wasn't fun to watch. I'm streaming Top Gun on Paramount plus right now and it's working fine so don't think it's my internet connection. I would much rather watch the races on cable. It's lame that we don't have a choice this year and are stuck with peacock for most of the races.

Are you sure it’s not your internet or something? I had absolutely no lag here. It’s been pretty darn flawless for me 🤷‍♂️

😂 no doubt! I used to sit in anticipation just waiting to call that 1-800 (I think) number just to hear the results!

FFS it’s not Peacock. If anybody is having issues with Peacock, it’s your garbage ISP and hardware. Instead of using an ISP provided modem, buy your own DOCSIS 3.1 cable modem. If you’re on DSL, get your own compatible modem for that. During the race pay attention to how many devices are connected to your network and what is consuming your bandwidth. Also if you have anything less than 20mb internet speed you’re in for a world of hurt. My dad has a 10mb internet connection and it’s unwatchable on the Peacock app and his phone.  He has to wait for the replays on CNBC to watch the races.

I started the night program at 5pm pst went to dinner with the mrs. Came home paused it before I could see the results and skipped backwards to the 250 main and watched forward. Then skipped back to the heats with no commercials. Was able to skip forward through the fluff.

I have a 3rd and 4th gen Apple TV, sometimes I log into Peacock through a browser to watch on my iPhone 11 Pro or m1 iPad Pro. I have a fiber line plumbed right into our house. So we’re getting just shy of 2gb down with 50mb up. Have a Netgear Nighthawk modem with an Orbi mesh wifi network. Apple TVs are on wifi.

You’re complaining about not enough replays? There’s been too many replays during the races! This is a good thing. Now the on air production of the show isn’t a Peacock issue, it’s a Bondo/Bevo issue. Blind leading the blind. Until these quacks are off the team, we’re going to suffer with crap camera angles and audio issues.

Streaming live video takes more bandwidth than cached content.
