If I were WSX I'd honestly considering switching everything for 2023.... like, forget US riders, go find promissing youngsters from other countries (like, go to Botswana, Chile, Taiti, Macau.. look for that "good rider" and invest in them with your million bucks!) and change the classes: Lites class with Electric bikes (for marketing reasons) and use 2 strokes for the top class because OF COURSE YOU SHOULD DO THAT! Be different for f*cks sake. WE WANT TWO STROKES haha u'know..?
I'll watch any race, but I think in order to compete with US Supercross, they need to take a lot of feedback. I'm not a big fan of time qualifying, go back to heats, semi's and lcq's. More racing less pageantry.

Asking for a friend...
I’d actually like it if they let every 450 and 250 guy run superpole for gate picks. Then run 30+2 motos. Give guys time to make moves, give time for battles to happen. Instead I feel like the race was over as soon as it started.
Ralph and emig are just dog shit. Throw them goofy mfers to the slaughterhouse already.
I did like the DJ concept. Having big music guys play at events only helps.
And fuck the onboard cameras can’t see shit no ways.
And the freaking replays? It’s already a 4minute race. I actually wanna see some of the race happen. Instead they just showed replay after replay of what happened while they were showing replays. Wouldn’t need all those replays if y’all just showed the race.
How about that 450 podium presentation? Mess up the finish order, then fix it, confusion. Hear a word from some old guy saying the word "World Supercross" for the 600th time in the same broadcast, confusion. Then as he's about to pass out the trophies, the kid from AMA supercross says "now pop the shampagne" as the riders wonder wtf is going on and where are the trophies to take a picture first...then they missed the national anthem from the winner like in 250..
FIM did worse than I thought they could. Congrats guys. Can't wait until January for the real thing.
It's given guys like mcelrath, blose and those other guys scratching a living out in the AMA system a real chance to make money and have a good career. How can anybody not want wsx to succeed?
The reality is it'll only get better, can't wait for Melbourne!
Anybody know how many attended?

And to those who say cut them a break, it’s their first attempt at this……. they have had DECADES to watch, copy, learn from and improve upon what Feld has done and they fell woefully short. Pretty amazing in my opinion.
I liked the Superpole .
They obviously haven't learned that cutting away from the lead battle for a start highlight is a bad idea . Both series' are guilty of that .
Overall though I was entertained .
The more I think about it, the more I realise it was a real mess. It started off poorly, in opening ceremonies they introduced each team 1 by 1 but they were not updated or accurate rider rosters as far as I could tell, so they were announcing guys who were not even there or were riding for other teams and not mentioning guys who were there, this shouldn’t be difficult to get right.
Then before and during the first 250 heat, Roger Warren, the in stadium announcer, was saying that it was the first 250 main race and they were going to do the first race and line up straight away again, even though there was only 11 guys on the gate. They never made it clear to anyone in the stadium what the 250 heats were actually for, because everyone is already in the main. They explained that the Top 5 in each 450 heat went through to Superpole, but then when Superpole came round, they never said what it was for (points, Gate selection, money etc.) and they sent the riders out in the wrong order.
The main event format is almost impossible to follow in the stadium. The races are too short and too close together so there’s not enough emphasis on them and they just feel like more heats instead of main events, and because the winner is an overall across the three races and the stadium announcers couldn’t could give us updated scores after the first two, it was impossible to know who actuallly won the 250 class until the podium presentation afterwards. Blose got 2nd overall and I barely noticed him out there in any of the mains, which must be confusing to a lot of fans, especially casual fans or first time fans.
Also I’m concerned that in terms of rider participation it will never get any better than this. It’s the off season so it’s easy for Tomac and Roczen to jump in for 1 or 2 rounds, but if it runs during the main season for AMA/MXGP, I fail to see how they attract that calibre of rider again. Especially with the stance that Honda have taken and I’m sure other manufacturers will take.
It was still entertaining and I’m glad I went, but overall I don’t really see what makes this anything special or anything different to Paris or Geneva. It’s the first one so I’m sure it will improve, but you only get one chance to make a first impression and they shit the bed a little bit
If a rider lands on a (real) tuff-block, what usually happens?
Versus landing on one of those ‘tuff-blocks’?
