I don’t see why he won’t fix it when he is 100% aware of it. I liked JT a lot but he needs to fix it.
At this point I think he doesn't want to give everyone else the satisfaction of being right, so unless the producer says something, he'll just keep doing it his way. He's always come off as stubborn like that. I think he's awesome, and that's not a complaint from me, just an observation.
It's like when you were about to mow the yard, but then the wife tells you that you need to mow and you get that weird feeling of, well now I don't want to because you told me to!

I just rewatched the podium interviews because of this thread. You are doing awesome job and nothing wrong with the way you end interviews…it is your signature style. Ignore Vitards as they are just piling on because Steve raised this to just bust your chops (like the cooler thing).
Don’t change and keep up the great interviews!

Noticed this all season. Ya awkward at times. Kinda like you go to shake someone’s hand and they pull away, on national TV! Seems a little disrespectful to the riders. Nitpicking maybe but it’s noticeable to a lot. Other than that JT is doing an awesome job for sure! Dude is on point!

Incorrect, what was talked about was when I was saying nothing after they finished talking. I have been adding something after that based on feedback. Doesn’t mean I have it figured out, just that you’re saying one thing is another. Believe me, I’m working on it.
Have you considered "Finger Guns" to end an interview? lol

Side note: I'm sure a lot of people would complain but the Antron Brown interview was great. He is such a great guy with an infectious personality. I met him in his rig at the Gatornationals. He was doing his final visualizations of the run including how much he bounces around and stopped on a dime and greeted me and talked like an old friend for 10 minutes. All the while I personally felt I was invading his time. Fifteen minutes later he was going through the traps at 300+ mph.

I think the biggest thing is that ending an interview by turning your back and walking away is just a weird way to end a conversation, like there’s no acknowledgement that this conversation is over other than me just waking away.

I think the only thing JT could do to improve would be just be adding a simple “Thanks so-and-so” before turning and walking away with his closing statement so the riders know the interview is over and give their thumbs up or whatever instead of getting caught off guard. Not a big deal regardless, just the one thing I’ve noticed that may cause confusion.

For god sake Jt$, please resist the urge to explain or justify anything to this audience.
It's a trap - don't fall for it !

As far as ending an interview ; maybe just click your heels together like Dorothy in the Wizard of Oz.

I like how you are doing it. Don't change. Your style and trademark. Reminds me of Frank. You are the best pit reporter I can remember.

ugh - the ADS that Vital requires. A full commercial before ANY video, even if the video is a 5 second clip. ML, I've learned to click the title on the clip to send me to YT so I can bypass this. If you guys set it to only show an every 5th video or something, I wouldn't bitch. But it's annoying, AND I JUST CANT STAND FOR IT. (that's just sarcasm - have a great Sunday)

They need to hire a motocross pit reporter from one of the top motocross pit reporter schools.

JT is solid in my book.

I would be lying if I said that I didn't notice it on a few occasions, over the course of the season. Slightly awkward at times lol. It's funny that a thread was started about it. Regardless, JT has been great all year.

I'll try to implement some of this and have an idea how to do it. Thanks guys. No one likes criticism but I do want to get better.

Easy tweak - you’re crushing it.

They obviously are used to a softball space maker for sponsor plugs and closure, and while I’ve liked you not giving them that default time to pander - that’s what’s missing.

JT$, I know it’s just like, my opinion, man, but I think you should just keep doing what you’re doing.

I think when JT$ turns towards the camera but is talking, its a signal that the interview is over. I see it in a lot of sports. No good bye, No thank you. Its normal. We don't see the turn away because the camera is only on the interviewee. Great job this year JT$

I honestly thought you were doing it as self amusement to wind up the people that had said stuff, I got it wrong. It looks like you have it figured out, you do a good job at the nationals and mxgp. Don't listen to idiots on the internet

Between Weege, the rotating guests and JT$, this has been the best season of SX/MX announcing we've ever had, in my opinion.

He just needs to close it out smoother. “Thanks Jett, good luck in moto 2” or something like that.

Honestly I think you should ignore the criticism and double down.

When the interview is over, just stare at the rider you are interviewing and not say anything. Keep staring until it gets super awkward and wait for the rider to ask if the interview is over, THEN walk off without speaking.

Just because some here want you to change doesn't mean what they want is better.

If I was JT and this was my first season doing this job, I would be pretty happy that the biggest thing us whinny vitard bitches can find to cry about is my sign-off style.
