They do this every few years, looks mostly like junk....https://nypost.com/2022/06/21/nyc-destroys-92-dangerous-dirt-bikes/
If you zoom in theres a whiskey throttle sticker on a rear fender

So many good things could have been donated from theses Bikes. where's the folks in NY that could have bought these at an auction to help those in need?
Or is this another Publicity stunt that never works?
The Shop
Luxon 4-Post Bar Mounts
$189.95 - $239.95
DeCal Works Huge Plastic Inventory of UFO and Polisport kits.
Also, this qoute.. wtf:
"Adams said the NYPD has taken about 900 of the bikes and ATVs off the streets of the Big Apple so far this year".
Big miscommunication here. Throwing the checkers to signify the start shows the level of research mr mayor and team has done i guess. As he's proudly pushing along some kids lost pit bike haha..
Wild qoute nr 2:
“Today, as we stand in the shadow of the Freedom Tower, we are freeing ourselves from these destructive piece[s] of machinery that’s on our streets".
Edit: Im not a NY'er, so correct me if im wrong, but isn't the Freedom Tower actually named "One World Trade Center"? Im sure the mayor of the city would know, but just saying.
Because, you know, “ride illegally on the streets and we’ll lock you up” would be way too harsh.
Of course there's no economical sense on send used bikes all the way back to Japan.
The "brilliant" solution was burn on fire in front of IRS agents to make sure they don't have any other use or destination.
Talk about government crazyness...
Crushing those bikes accomplishes nothing.

Pit Row
It's a real term Google it - I never heard it only from him.
And why does he think the hooligans won't steal someone else's bike right there in NYC?
And I take offense the terms "destructive" and "dangerous" when referring to the motorcycles. Maybe the hooligans riding them are that, but the inanimate objects they are using are not.
They stopped because they found that the wheely boyz would just buy them back at the auctions, and they would be back on the streets again.
The laws nowdays are lame.
Ok, yes this is the worlds most unsolvable argument (object vs user at fault) and no one gets anywhere with it, nor will we ever. But man these crushing photo ops are so Idiocracy-worthy... And im still bothered by the fact that no one in the event crew pointed out that they were crushing registered street legal mopeds, not dirt bikes. Quit pissin on our sport mr m'yer.
I know, politically it's a win. Like others said; crush the bikes but (?) free the perps so they can buy another bike. Just slows down the problem doesn't fix it.
