Only $10 for all 2026 SX, MX, and SMX series.
I really feel like we would be better served at this point to let the dudes who want to race SX only do it and start building an outdoors only series.
MX and SX are totally different sports that require separate skills sets. I know the old school people will hate this but it is what it is, I’d rather see a full healthy gate at round 1 of MX than a beaten and battered gate who just went through 17 rounds of war with most not making it through unscathed.

Was that his only injury? Hope he's back in time for MX!
I don’t know about you, but I couldn’t care less if the guy lined up next to me has a gopro on his head, however I’m not super thrilled with the idea they have knife edge pegs on their bike that could cut me in the event of a pile up.
Foam inserts between layers, plastic inserts between layers, compression shorts with padding, even more extreme measures like hockey breezers could be used to create a garment that offers more protection. I agree that footpegs present a clearly dangerous area of the bike, but these are choices that gear companies, riders, and consumers are all part of.
Typical over reaction. Where were all you people before this weekend saying pegs are too sharp?
Maybe we need to go to belt drives as well instead of chain and sprockets cause those teeth are sharp!
Better yet why don’t these guys all just race in VR so no one gets injured.
No external sharp edges. PERIOD.
Anyone know why there are "balls" on the ends of your levers?
Why your racing exhaust has a radiused cap?
Make the pegs dull and guys feet will slip off the pegs and tear their knees and ankles up.
It was a million to one incident.
That said, I don’t think this was a million to one incident at all, especially considering it’s happened before. I tend to air on the side of “less is more” when it comes to regulation in general because it tends to become overbearing (looking at you government. . .), but I also think some thought needs to be put into how sharp these pegs really need to be and maybe have some kind of understanding between teams and riders that crazy sharp may not be the best idea from a common sense standpoint. There probably isn’t ever going to be a “standard” that can be followed, but if you’re having to put tennis balls over them in the pits so nobody loses a shin that might be a clue that they’re a bit on the excessively sharp side.
You can't have the outer-edges of the pegs NOT be filed sharp...? If you do you'll slide off of them? Really? Stock pegs are that bad when they're new?
No worries. I guess we'll disagree on this.
