After crushing it in Qualifying and his Heat...

Jason was making good things happen in the Main...and...then...we see the smoke/steam...

Everything goes backwards from there.

What was going to be a great night with a Red Plate was instantly turning into,"Damn! I gotta try and survive long enough to salvage some points!"

Later, after 'the show' when everyone is packing up and getting out of there, Jason was asked about the night and how he felt...

"You know, I really had Fun, today!"

Yup. After all that, he was still stoked. Still smiling. Still knowing that he can do this.

Nice!

Apparently, he wasn't even worried about things. At all.

See you at Anaheim II.

How Jason Anderson of him - good for you JA. You are in it to win it this year and there is a lot of racing left in the season. #teamelhombre #teamgreen

I think he was probably whistling Metallica's "Ain't My Bitch". Grinning

Anderson did his part last night. He pushed that 450 to the breaking point. He was riding awesome.

Mental toughness is peak there. Backs it down to salvage the bike to get it to finish. Amazing. How much anxiety does one have knowing the bike could lock up at anytime but continues on?
Hes really turned it around. Was getting stagnate on the huskys. Something clicked at kawi. Good change for him.

His heat race was impressive. With this line up in a short heat to win by 5-10 seconds he was hauling.

I think in the main he could have made it interesting until the bike issue.

Realistically if not for getting taken down and bike issue he's been close to the best guy after 3.

Life is easier then you know you were fastest and will continue from it next weekend.

He wouldn’t have gone by a smoking Anderson if he hadn’t been passed by him so what’s there to really smile about.

Yep easier to get taken out by a mechanical when you were killing it than to get a top 3 start on the blue bike and not be able to turn it into a win like you did all the time on the green bike.

Nah. The Main Line is played out. It's worn, rutted, lumpy and I prefer the smoother "outer" lines.

They allow me to get in to the Whoops faster.

He's was probably pretty gutted that Anderson passed him and left him for dust on his old bike. Imagine seeing the guy that hasn't really done anything notable since 2018 get on your old bike and be the fastest guy 3 weeks running

I’m really rooting for Anderson to win another title. I love his riding style and personality.

He seems to be having a lot of fun again. This change of scenery has done wonders for him already. That positive energy will do him a lot of good going forward.

Seeing a rejuvenated Anderson is the best part of the season so far IMO.

Yep, He knows that he has it again and can win with how he is riding. Fix the bike and all will be good. Cool

How many people that have talked trash about JA and how he lucked into his 2018 title and never did anything since leaving Aldon are now rooting for him this season?

He looks comfortable and despite what happened last night, I’m sure he’s up to his neck in confidence knowing how stacked the field is while also knowing he can cut through them to get up top. His race craft and drive has been outstanding so far.

He genuinely seems to be having the time of his life.

JA had a minor collision earlier in the race. Could’ve knocked something off.

I'm thinking he's got this.
I seemed like he was the only guy that was able to make it through the pack. If he didn't have engine issues I think he would have had that one yesterday. If he rides like he did this one, I think he's got it too!

Chase is flying this year and one of if not fastest. But JA was catching him in main before the smoke show. is great to see that style and shirt out mojo back at the front.

My boy wears shirt out cause JA does.

He went backwards but did he back it down? He was still revving that thing to the moon.

Anderson is great. Fun to watch and goes for it but this is way too soon to think he will manage to get through the entire season without a major problem when he has not been able to do that since 2018.

Some riders just seem to have more bad luck than others. He was probably all fired up after the switch to Kawi. Let's see how he is after round ten.

Personally, I would love to see Jason win the title again but consider it highly unlikely based on so many other great riders. I would suggest odds are much higher for Webb or Tomac to win than Anderson.

Webb and Tomac are only going to get better as the season goes on.

Any word yet on the mechanical issue?

I was thinking maybe a broken coolant hose from the contact with Kenny?

This was the only point of contact with Kenny, don't think it caused any problems.

I have to admit I chalked him up as a one hit wonder that was probably not going to win many more if any races let alone another title. After three races he looks to be the cream of the crop and his riding has evolved. He's still hangin it out but he also looks like he's got it under control as well. Wouldn't bother me for a sec to see him tear through the 22 series and come out on top.
