I’ll start

I think 4 strokes sound better than 2 strokes (especially your average rider on a 2 stroke).
I also think the low maintenance argument in favor of a 2 stroke is highly overrated and not very valid these days for an average speed rider.

JS7, while being one of the best riders ever, lacks the common decency to let his fans know whats going on. Just quits and ghost's everyone. -- I know fan boys.. "he doesn't owe us anything". I disagree.

Jeremy McGrath changed the sport more than anyone else - and is the real G.O.A.T.

Aftermarket 4-Stroke pipes are a huge waste of $. One of the great hoodwinks of the last 20 years in our sport.

Pourcel came off of 2 sx series titles and wanted 700k a year, more than RV re signed for. They tried to negotiate, he told them no.

He tested a Geico Honda, loved it but they only offered bonus money so he said no.

He tested the Valle Yamaha, hated it but they offered him a good salary so he took it.

They hired Wiemer because he rode for the right amount, they continued to rehire him because he was a great test rider.

Doesn't matter how much better Rider A is than Rider B, if Rider A goes to the contract table like they're Dr. Evil and immediately prices themselves out of the conversation.

there are peolpe out there who think jett is some sort of next level guy

tomac was/is the last of the 'next level' guys, IMO. even James himself said he would watch out for tomac becuase he was one of the few who had his speed

im not excited about the sports new entrants at all tbh..maybe im just getting older.

So your saying you like having a boss that makes 10x more then you, does 10x less then you, and is probably only in that position because his father was the last boss?
So your saying that you enjoy not having the power to dictate your working conditions or have bargaining power when it comes to wages?
So you are weak minded and like being told what to do?.. if that’s what your trying to say, it certainly doesn’t sound very “MAGA” to me... when working people unite and decide their lives for themselves; then maybe America becomes great.. and socialism isn’t a real thing. Educate yourself friend
I know better then to reply to this, but……

Unionized labor is socialism at its core. I don’t mean that in a derogatory way either. Some education may help with your understanding of that. People deciding for themselves can be interpreted as the opposite of what you are promoting as well.

It was in the early 90s and they abandoned it after a few seasons. That format was in place when Donny Schmit won the 250 World Championship . I didn't think it was bad .

“Influencers” who do nothing more than strip a bike down, source all the cleanup/coating work, pay to have an engine and suspension built, and then bolt it back together ARE NOT bike builders.

Factory bikes are sophisticated enough to actively manage the amount the rear wheel slip during closed course racing and the AMA rule book has not been amended properly to keep up with these technological advancements. Nor do they have the technical ability to inspect for violations.

The “traction control” rule was written decades ago when the powers-at-be determined such technology could only be implemented with the use of wheel speed sensors.

Opinion: Over 80% of people posting on vital shouldn't be giving advice to anyone because they're most likely a goon, or don't even ride at all. The other 20% are legit moto people with history.

I’d love to see somebody knowledgeable explain why they cost so much more than a 2 stroke aftermarket pipe and silencer when they appear easier to produce.

Material cost maybe ? Aren't most 4 strokes pipes titanium vs stamped steel for 2 stroke pipes ? 100% a guess....

just because someone is faster than another rider doesn't make them a better rider.

But the Britten would have been a much better bike with a set of forks

Once you are getting lapped the second time in SX, you automatically get the black flag.

Revving the shit out of your bike or burnouts after winning a championship are stupid and lame, disrespectful to the mechanics who build these bikes and to the factory/team they represent!

The RMZ250 is a great quality bike and handles/turns better then a KTM. Too bad it's heavy, slow and not updated since 2009

Wow... comparing Weimer with Pourcel??? Nothing against Weimer but Pourcel was way way better than Weimer in SX and MX c´mon...

Another story is what happened on the negotiations but just no point comparing them in their riding and accomplishments...
