Impressive! Bike looks great. I like that they are starting to “one-up” each other with these FE/WE/SR options...Hopefully, Yamaha is next with a true GYTR offering

Wow, and at $12,399 this a one hell of a package. I have a standard '21, and I have far more invested to get my bike to its current state.

My bike is extremely well set up right now, but I still can't help but feel like I need to update to this bad boy.

Good work, Kawi.

According to the press release it will come with KYB kit suspension. Any idea what "kit" suspension from KYB is exactly?

It's a loose term for KYB, it's basically the same fork you'd buy if you hit up Technical Touch and ordered a set of forks for your KX (minus billet lugs and whatever setting they shipped it with).

So - this seems to shit all over the other bikes from a value point.

12.4 - with :
xtrigs $750
pc full exhaust 1100
Did Stx 400
Kyb kit suspension 7500
Better chain and sprocket $130
Stock bike of 9400 plus all those parts is about 20k

Also the stock bikes retailing for 95-11k look like a joke next to this bike from my perspective.

This is pretty interesting stuff.

And the Yamaha monster edition costing more for a set of lame ass graphics is a pretty Yamaha thing to do lol.

I sure hope Kawasaki keeps doing this each year. This will be my next bike if so.

I just like that they used the SR designation.

That means something / resonates with us old blokes. Cool

Though, some may cry "sacrilege, that's the Works Bike designation".

Just looked up on technical touches website the forks are $4800 and the shock is $2600. That’s 7400 without shipping or tax. Plus the xtrigs.

Bike is badazz, imo. Best deal of special edition models. So many good bikes now to choose from.

Nope, it's AOS (air oil separate) spring fork.

Eli was on air when he first went to Kawasaki but switched to spring and has been since.

Star is on air and my team was.

Sometimes yes, sometimes no.

Depends on many factors, primarily port shape and the short turn. Texturing for boundary layer/atomization is not always required.

The dyno and the flow bench hold the answers.

Well done, Kawasaki.

I love it when a manufacturer raises the bar.

That’s too bad. Kyb kit air is where it’s at! It’s on both my Yamaha and my KTM.

But still, Kawasaki nailed it! Way to go!

Pretty cool, guess they see people willing to pay $20-30k for a sXs, might as well get bike prices up there

I can't help you there. At $13,000 I'd be nervous riding it. Although I'm also one who will never finance a dirt bike. If I don't have the money in my account then I don't buy it.

You get a decent amount for that $13000. That being said, people who are adding up the retail cost of the parts list and slapping it onto the price of a standard KX to show the value, is not accurate at all. You paid for the standard exhaust, forks, shock etc on your standard KX for that $9500. And they have some value. So you would have to deduct the cost of those parts from the SR to really have an accurate number there.

You only live once. That’s justification in my book alone.
