Another thought on Tomac going. This could be him and Kranz last race together. A good send off, especially if Eli smokes them!

Whoever are the fastest Americans 1 month out should be chosen.

Right now that would be Tomac, Plessinger, and Justin Cooper.

I think that’s who it would be ideally. But whether or not that actually happens is up to the riders and their teams.

Jett at this stage is a given on the 250.
But, why not put Hunter in open on his 250 and then between Duffy and Clout on the 450? Of course Beaton is in the mix too.
At least there’s time to see how their form rolls on with the season……
I didn't even think of them running Hunter on the 250 in mx3 but that makes sense. I'm just so used to it being another 450 class

If he's healthy when the time comes, send Jeremy Martin on the 250. Unpopular opinion but I think we should send Anderson and Webb. Tomac always rides bleh when it comes to the MXdN, Anderson and Webb will always give it their all and never quit, unlike some riders we've seen in the past few years Whistling (note: Plessinger is a good option as well)

Hunter raced a 450 heaps in Europe and went pretty good obviously his style suits a 450 too

Edit: I meant in the German nationals or something similar, can't remember exactly

Plessinger rode hurt... He crashed in the qualifier while battling for the lead. Yes, he crashed, his fault, but that changed his weekend dramatically.

AP was leading when he cross rutted on the triple. That was the difference between the US qualifying second and qualifying 9th. On a track that turned out to be very one lined because of the conditions, it made a huge difference in track position. Who knows what happens if that doesn’t happen.

Watch the Maggiore GP. Clay. Hard pack. Rocks. Blue groove. Then rain. Huge elevation changes. More passing than Red Bud national for top spots. Real motocross not chocolate cake prep. No wonder we have zero chance against the GP guys. Next week they have bottomless sand that makes southwick look like Carlsbad in comparison. Shits harder on the GP circuit. They don’t prep the track to appease the riders. They make it as hard as possible.

I firmly believe this is what has led to the GP’s surpassing us. They have to be able to bring it on a wide variety of surfaces and conditions. It wasn’t so long ago that it was that way here. I remember when there were track surfaces that a guy like K-dub would be strong as hell on and RC would struggle even if he had just dominated the week before. Tire selection mattered. Who had better throttle control mattered. These days, although this year has been a bit better, it’s usually just the same track and prep from race to race. How we prep every track the same and expect our guys to be competitive on something totally different is beyond me. Until that changes we won’t win another MXDN.
The track prep is fine but it needs to be just that - prep. Before the race weekend, not during.

Prep it, and only groom the start straight the whole weekend.

You should probably go back and watch Tomac in 2013 in Germany and 2014 in Latvia. Hard to call the riding "bleh".

2014 in Latvia was peak Tomac. Dunge was by far the weak link that year.

We are getting beat in our own series by a Frenchman, German and a 17 year old Aussie. I want to see 3 guys go and will leave it on the track. RJ, AP deserve to go for that very fact.

It's starting to look like the Euro's (and one Aussie) are coming to the US to show the 'mericans how to ride like it was the 70's. If we are lucky it will spark interest again.
Maybe two Aussies up front, yes Jett is riding well at the movement, but remember Hunter had a great run a few years ago when he was young, also Jed Beaton could get it in the top 10.
I,m hoping for an Aussie podium finish, if we go!

Tomac is too hot and cold.

He’d ride like it’s the start of a new season and reel in a 5th-10th. We will never have the opportunity to see beast mode Tomac at MXDN. If we did, he goes 1-1 10/10 times.

Maybe that’s ok. They can drop a score. If Tomac had a bad day, maybe he wins a moto and they drop his other. Try to have two other guys who can be consistent, knowing you will need all their moto scores. Barcia looks like he is getting hot at the right time and we have two solid choices with Martin, maybe Cooper. I think we have a solid team out there somewhere. I think this is the year we get back on top of the podium.

No star riders will be going it’s been told already team moving race shop and employees to Florida that week. DF has said that in a interview when asked about riding for team France and same as AP said that

With out star and all riders changing teams. Barcia, Sexton or Webb and RJ. Solid team. If Webb can start heating things up here he would be a great choice with his past experience.

If that’s truly the case FUCK STAR RACING and all their sponsors. Most anti-America team in the sport. Move the shop the following weekend. I sure hope this information is wrong because I have been rooting to Cooper, Plessinger and Martin. Feel used now.

I def have heard Plessinger allude to this situation in an interview when they asked about the MXdN. Said how he would love to go BUT blah blah blah Star relocating. No wonder we get smoked at the MXdN. No American teams give a shit about the race anymore. Fucking sad

Our country has zero pride. We are 100% posers in the world of motocross. Always an excuse. “Moving that week” fucking give me a break. Remember that when they play the National Anthem at the next national you attend. Pathetic effort for all the USA teams. We suck balls and like it. If you think your king shit whip it out and prove it.
