Straight up amateur hour for the producer to keep showing the shot of Cameron. Why would you have a camera in a guy’s face right after he just got seriously hurt?

Had they cut away, you'd be bitching that they didn't show what happened to Macadoodle

Seemed like a whiny diva move to me. Then his mechanic is blocking like he's fighting off TMZ trying to get a shot of Matthew McConaughey. I was laughing. The camera was not even close to him.

What a crybaby. Could you picture J Mart or Craig acting like that?

He should be grateful for the cameras. What would his career/income be without tv?

Dudes on the PGA Tour voluntarily strip down to their Ninja Turtle Underoos on National TV with 8 million people watching.

Golfers tougher than McNoodle?

This is a professional sport with TV cameras filming
the action. If you are a paid athlete you should expect a camera to be on you. Anytime those sponsors on your jersey are getting tv time that is good for business, even if it’s not at the ideal moment.

Childish move by Cameron and his mechanic.

Get over yourself Cameron.

That’s a weird thing to say. I guess you think Cameron didn’t want cameras filming him because it would ruin his ego?
Is there another viable reason he wouldn't want them filming? Let me know..

Riders need to remember that this is a niche sport, with limited fans. The fans pay these riders wages and the fans want to know what's going on- the good, the bad and the ugly. 'Behind the scenes' filming is valuable to the fans.

By keeping the nitty gritty details from the fans, you're making the whole thing less interesting.
He would've been better off, gesturing to the camera to come over and tell them what happened and what he's feeling- of course he wouldn't feel in the mood to do that, but that's what the fans want, and like I say, where does the money come from..

I saw this and thought it was super weird. You’ve just gone down your mind n serious pain with an injury but your focus is on the cameraman?
What are you hiding?

Anyone who has just suffered an injury probably wants to process it on their own timeline. For whatever reason McAdoo saw the camera and didn't want to have that moment broadcast in real time. That's fair.

Sure some would like to see every little bit of what goes on, but there's a balance there that should probably favor the injured rider over the viewers. If we are talking about 'on track', then perhaps that is a different story.

In the end it's disheartening to see that more people are upset with him not wanting to cameras to be on him than are concerned about his injury.

Been talk about this type of TV coverage on MotoGP too. Some riders don't like it. Some find solace in knowing the downed rider shows signs of movement.

My thought was he was injured and just didn't want the cameras in his face.
Yeah, I totally understand he is a paid athlete and all that but I completely
respect someone saying GTFO when they are injured or other delicate situations.

OK by me. No big deal.

Heal up well, Cameron!!

Not sure why this matters. Not everyone likes seeing crash replays or people getting injured. I fall in this category.

Pure speculation, but what if his leg was broken and they were gonna try and pull his boot off? That’s the kind of stuff that can make anyone cry and maybe he didn’t want people seeing him cry. Look how everyone tore Alessi apart for shedding a few tears.

Cameron didn't want the internet to get anymore photoshopped meme material. He still has YMCA stuck in his head.

Remember Kevin Ware's injury? If we can see that on TV, there's nothing too taboo in moto.

I'm not a Macadoo fan but if I just ate shit and was being loaded in the meat wagon the camera guy can fuck off. I found nothing weird about how anyone handled that other than the production crew.

(edit for home skool spelling...)

So there has been no word from him or PC so my guess is it must have been a serious injury. Even after his crazy SX crashes he let everyone know he was all good.
