Reach out to the High Fives Foundation based in Truckee, CA (highfivesfoundation.org). It’s an amazing foundation that helps athletes that sustain life changing injuries get the resources they need to not only adapt to their new lives, but also gets them back in the saddle when the time is right. They’re also an amazing network of the most inspirational human...

I have built an electric dirt bike from a CRF250 chassis. The battery is in the ssame location and the bike handles amazing. An electric motor has such minimal centrifugal force, even with the battery in the location of a rotating piston, it feels unbelievably light and easy to ride.

Was curious how a gear box would fit into the frame with an electric motor, this configuration looks top heavy though. Wonder if the gear box will potentially give the bike the longer run times we all want?

You’d sure hope he’d use that as motivation. I was just throwing the idea out there. Really like the fact he’s even out there at all at this point after all those insane injuries.

Pure speculation, but maybe Kenny’s been demoted to rider 2 and resources are being focused on Chase? He may be disappointed in his position as second fiddle.

I’m on a ‘20 Turbo Levo comp. It’s pretty much an entry level bike but they’re made so well now I don’t really notice it’s short comings. Only things I’ve done is extended the fork (Lyric) to 160mm, raise the rear of the bike, and added a solid set of DD Maxis tires. Raising the bike has brought the bottom...

If reading correctly, in 2025 a bike is either green sticker eligible or it isn’t. Making it closed course only (tracks). This will finalize their original goal in 1997 of eliminating new 2 strokes from California public lands. It just took them 28 years to accomplish. Here’s 1 issue, technically to transport an off highway vehicle in California, in your truck/van/etc. it must have a green/red sticker.

I discussed this with the rangers at Hangtown. They reiterated what you wrote regarding transportation. Which I thought was BS, albeit true BS. I asked them why they allow a National at the park and don’t require those bikes to be stickered. Their answer was the trailer it was hauled in was registered. So you can still transport an illegal...

Not sure why this matters. Not everyone likes seeing crash replays or people getting injured. I fall in this category. Pure speculation, but what if his leg was broken and they were gonna try and pull his boot off? That’s the kind of stuff that can make anyone cry and maybe he didn’t want people seeing him cry. Look how...
Line up as early as you can because they pack’em in there. Nice thing about the early start is the 7:00 am practice you’re awake (if you can sleep the night before). I raced in ‘07 and it was 2 qualifying motos and a final, may have changed. Edit: I didn’t race vet weekend *note the track at 7AM and...

Seat time, nutrition, and hydration. A good breakfast and starting to hydrate the day before riding has made the biggest difference for me. I’m 44 now but in my 30’s I noticed a big difference in my body and how much dehydration effected my performance. I don’t do Gatorade but have picked up a trick our local Olympic athletes use...

Depends on your objective. If you’re going out to have the most fun out of everyone on the track -250 2-stroke. If you’re going out to win - 4-stoke is the weapon of choice. Personally, I’d rather have more fun. But I’m sure that’s what all us slow guys say to justify the change. I made the switch 7 years...
