This seems like it's all hype. I was going to lock it but I'm not sure... He just posted quite a few stories to his IG.

Sounds like they let him go, he was respectful so that helps, he got the cop to shout out “team fried”

JLaw rules. Idc.

You’d be surprised how far being respectful to cops will get you. Back the blue!

Pure speculation, but that looks like the Pine Barrens in NJ near where he grew up. Even though its illegal to ride a dirt bike in the entire state of NJ on public property (environmentalists rule this state) many people ride there all the time because its pretty much the only place to go besides private tracks. There are lots of “outlaw tracks” all in there. The cops patrol it and if they find your car, they will sit there and wait for you to come back to load up, how they get most people.

Biggest waste of talent of that era. Could've accomplished so much more if he could stay out of trouble

For anyone who is familiar with the show “Sopranos” they filmed an episode inside Pines Barrens. The chase a Russian dude thru the woods. Jersey bro

I’d say Nico Izzi and Austin Stroupe are both in the same boat if not even more talented then Jlaw. Nico was untouchable on minis then he got sidetracked

Yeah, unless you’re drunk and causing a scene with a lot of people, and you look like you’re just putting in motos, in my experience cops will let you go, maybe with a ticket.

Being drawn to click on a JLaw thread is exactly like being drawn to read the cover stories on an Enquirer magazine at the grocery store check out. You KNOW it's all worthless bullshit...but you can't help it.

I don’t get the hate? All the dude does is ride for fun in the NJ sand. If he wants to post a video of a run in with the Law where he’s respectful and the cop is reasonable, what’s the problem? Half the people on here complain that riders are boring and then turn around and hate on a real moto guy.

I'm not sure it's hate...per se. More like a lot of people are "over" Jason Lawrence. Yeah, he was uber talented...yean, he was fast...but he came off like a punk, and an entitled jerk a lot of the time. He squandered what many, many guys would have given their left nut to have had...and that "shoulda, woulda, coulda" aspect leaves some people bitter.

People starting threads asking what Johnny Marley is up to these days, but someone posts an interesting Jason Lawrence update and people complain. Go figure.

Comparing apples to bananas. Marley was a much lesser known rider that had to end his career because of injuries...Lawrence's career came to a screeching halt because of his off-track behavior. He became too much of a liability for any major team to deal with. Marley simply couldn't do it any more, physically...from what I understand.

Right or wrong?

Right, but my intent wasn’t to compare Jlaw to Marley. I was just using Marley as an example, could swap his name with anyone’s who a “Where are they now?” thread has been started about.

Coming up the mini ranks Johnny Marley was a household name to anyone into moto. In his time he was the man, comparative to a Ryder D type in today’s amateur scene. So to say “lesser known” isn’t quite true. Many would say Johnny Marley was one of the biggest letdowns talent wise, much more so than Jason. Wether injuries or not

Never have understood the comments on this guy. If you don't like him just don't click the thread. The guy does his own thing and could care less what people think. If it makes him happy then so be it.

I don’t know how you could argue either of those guys are more talented when their resume is so much weaker than J Laws

Actually this is not true. The show took place there, but the filming locations were not anywhere near the pine barrens (as someone from Jersey it was obvious).

The filming locations were in Orange County NY. I imagine the amount of hoops that would have been required to get authorization to film in the pine barrens was prohibitive (thanks government)
