Wasn’t he rumored to be blood doping back in those days though?

That would be really cool if true.

Are you in denial that professional sports athletes dope?
It goes on in every pro sport except MX right?

No! He was just in WAY better shape vs his competitors. They would get a bit tired the last 5-7 minutes. His competitors were just out of shape.

First off that was 9 years ago. Now......The competition has it figured out. I believe he was working with Baker back then. It seems most of the top 450 riders have been through or are with Baker. Go to KTM/ Husky = Go to Baker for most.

His wrist has been a chronic issue for him. When he rides without that issue he can and does beat the best of the best.

I got to see him put in a ride in Colorado once that was amazing.

While I have no added comment on Blake doping, it is not entirely true that other riders were fading late in the race and he was staying even. Blake was posting his BEST lap times later in the races, usually 2-3 seconds faster than anyone else. You can watch Tomac, Osbourne and other top tier riders doing the similar these days in outdoors. Doping or figuring the track out, I do not know. The purist in me says figuring the track out and going for it. The pessimist says otherwise. In MX I am a purist.

So I wonder if he still gets checks from FLY? I just watch a ad of his here just a minute ago. And on that same token ARAI helmets has a 2021 Bam Bam helmet, what’s up with that?

blakes line choices late in the motos were stellar. he found lines that no one did...that along with fitness is why he went 2-3sec faster in late game.

Was that the day he broke Tomac?

Or the day he woke Tomac?

Not sure. 2017. Bogle had an incredible ride for a win in Moto 1 but Blake was on it all day and took the 2nd moto and overall. Great day of racing.

Totally agreed. Blake was the Rocky Balboa of the 250's though. It seemed he got a huge "second wind" when the rest of the guys were losing what wind they had.

The chupacabra will emerge when the time is right. Goats beware, you never know when the chupacabra is thirsty for blood.

Team Tedder apparently has a seat on a familiar/similar ride. Come on guys, cut a deal and get Blake on a bike!

I would LOVE to see him return. His late race charges were the most enjoyable I've ever seen in MX, 450 or 250. As I recall, at a couple of races, he was turning times faster than the 450's. Not SOME of the 450's... ALL of them.

Blake was one of the best racers during the last decade. Whatever he and his family decide, wish them every success.

That was so gnarly. If I didn't know better I'd think they were photoshop.
