this guy deserves some respect. It was fun to watch him last night, especially his corner speed. He also seems to ride pretty consistent without those typical rookie mistakes. Really dominant ride

He is a really good young man who has worked hard for years to get here. Well deserved, glad Mitch knew what he could do and hired him. Way to go Seth!

Really good ride. At one point he made some mistakes and it looked like he was going to throw this one away but got back into the groove and brought it home.

When we went to the MXDN in 2018, we had a tour to the test tracks beforehand. He was riding there along with some kids on 105cc and already looked solid. Not fast, but solid. Now a few years later going for the win in your first season is exceptional. Especially in this stacked coast. Very good jobWink

Who is stacked in the coast? Justin Cooper can’t get a start Jordan Smith has crashed in every race JMart is out and AMart is not himself yet. Lawrence is not yet a threat. I don’t see how this coast is really very stacked.

Yeah ok. Not super stacked, but some great riders in there though. Didn't expect a rookie to win his 3rd race. They lapped up to 4th on the other coast ..

Im happy to see a rookie doing this well. I dont think ive seen a PC rider perform like that their rookie season since AC. He will be a big ticket rider if he avoids the rookie injury.

Brilliant ride and super exciting to watch! His corner speed was fantastic if a little wild! I could watch him ride all day.

So here we have a rookie with a win...

I still cannot fathom the 'Jett hype'. This guy deserves more hype, but hasn't received it, why??

Hammaker is like 3 years older than Jett, that might be a reason.

Anyways, superb ride by him. He is way better than what i expected!

Age is irrelevant (to a point) as we don't know when they started riding and previous experiences/priveliges/opportunities/injuries they may have had.

These guys are close enough in age for that aspect to be irrelevant.

Mitch has to be super happy with McDoo and Seth. Smith has rode himself out of a ride for sure.

I like Jett but I laughed when I heard Gypsy tails compare him to Stewart and Pastrana. I think Pastrana won 3 Supercrosses and the outdoor title his rookie year and Stew won like 5 but crashed out the rest and won the outdoor title and they were both 16. RC did the same as a rookie 17 year old. Fonseca came in and won a bunch in a row and the SX title. He isn’t even on AC’s rookie season level.
If Seth wins another race he deserves to be more hyped than Jett.

Jett could be off a 250 by the time he's the same age as Seth I wouldn't say age is irrelevant

Seth is the epitome of a hard worker. For those that haven’t followed Seth throughout his amateur career Seth and his family worked extremely hard with not much to get Seth to the level he’s at today. Outside of being a great rider Seth is just a great young man with a good personality. Really excited to not only see him get a chance on a great team but also put it together with a great start to his rookie season.

Long story but worth telling.
So we met Seth at an area qualifier. He and his mother parked across from us.
My chocolate lab is scared of everyone. My dog instantly becomes friends with Seth mom, which never happens except with kids.
My son realizes who Seth is from the monster energy cup races, and becomes super shy. I tell Seth my son wants to meet him but is scared. Seth goes over to my son who is sitting at our camper. Introduces himself and hands my son his Kawi hat.
My son then gives him one of his stickers in trade.

My son makes it to lorettas, my dog spots seths mom while on a walk. We go over and chat, Seth remembers my boy and instantly starts up a conversation. My boy is glowing that Seth remembers him.
Moto one Seth comes to the line to find my son and give him a pep talk. Made my sons trip.

Seth still takes time to respond to messages my boy sends him. Makes my son feel great.

Will always be a fan, he has had a ruff couple years and made me happy that mitch stayed with him, but knowing how Seth and his family are, it doesn't surprise me

Seth can only control what he does. Not his fault others are hurt and crashing. This coast started out pretty stacked.
McAdoo, J. Smith, Hammerker, J Mart, Cooper, Fyre, Thrasher, A Mart, marchbanks, Hunter Lawrence, Blose, Stilz, Swoll, Blose.

Not as many heavy hitters as the other coast but I’d say it’s a lot deeper.

I was at the stadium last night, have not seen the NBC Sports TV broadcast to see what parts they showed.

After watching him the last couple races on TV, then the heat race live, I told my wife before the start of the main that Seth was going to win.

His confidence is growing, and now he is going to keep being consistent threat. He was rock solid all night.

If the 17 year old rider started racing at 7
But the 21 year old started racing at 9..

If the 17 year old has had no injuries
But the 21 year old had a year out with an injury..

If the 17 year old can ride twice per week during his development years but the 21 year old can only ride twice per month...

Age is irrelevant and not worth mentioning when you cannot take all these other factors in to account. Their ages are all roughly there or thereabouts.

Must be a sigh of relief for Mitch Saturday night. Seems like it's been ages since there was two PC bikes on the podium. Happy to be corrected if I'm wrong.

This is a great story and not surprising at all. Thanks for sharing.

It was a hell of a night for sure and thought I may end up in the hospital with a heart attack!

A well deserved win. Mitch got that new ‘21 KX250 dialed in pretty quickly.
