I got sucked in by the hype and after watching the first round thought that was it and he was gunna kill it. Especially after he got off the blue pig (the source of all his problems ?)and on to the Ktgasvarna which was going to change everything.
Anyway......... ' same old Barcia'

I wouldn’t be surprised, if for the rest of the season, he hovered around the top 5 with the odd better or worse race. But then again, I wouldn’t be surprised if he won the next round either.

He got 1st, 2nd then 9th in first 3 rounds in 2020, in 2021 he has had a 1st, 6th and a 4th....so yeah I guess slight improvement? A bit hard to judge though just yet imho
Gee I got 9 downvotes but so far no real difference to last year, maybe next round

At first I thought he kicked because he was mad at Mookie. But Mookie was stuck under the bike, so maybe he was just helping him out by kicking the bike off him?

I can't see this being true (looked like a tantrum), but if it is, I have a new appreciation for the guy. Or maybe I missed the sarcasm.

Completely plausible that it was both a tantrum and an attempt to help the situation. I think we have all emotionally and angrily deployed force on an object whose placement was fucking up our situation.

I saw it as helping Mookie. After he kicked the bike off Mookie seemed to jump up.

Doing what he usually does. Starts on fire then steadily declines. Soon he'll be frustrated and running into every one around him. By rd 9 he will be blaming the bike. It's the same every year.

Everybody wants to flame kage, but he's not wrong until proven so. As of right now, Justin isn't doing as good as he was to this point last year. I'm pulling for him to do well, but there is no proof he's any better to this point. Just a lot of specultion about how he looks and the fact that he passed Eli who clearly hasn't found his groove. Too early to tell.
Opinions and predictions about the future are not right or wrong.

Correct. He was helping Mookie out from under the bike.

I'm so conflicted about this. Yes the kick 100% did free mookies leg from under the bike, but was this actually barcias intention? I know barcia seems to be trying to polish up his demeanour this year (and I support this new barcia) but we all know he is naturally a hothead who let's his emotions get the better of him when he gets flustered. I find it hard to believe that in that moment, he didn't kick mookies bike in frustration as it might have blocked him from picking up his bike.

He does look better on the bike. You know, Savatgy got squirrelly in front of him in that first turn, Barcia had to swerve, and...

He was helping both of them, by the looks of that grab if Barcia just picked his bike up he would've been in an awkward position with Stewart's spinning rear wheel

I know Barcia is a little frustrated. He’s had a little bad luck lately. Hopefully he can see it that way and not take it too heavily. There’s no doubt that he is faster than about 98% of the field. He just needs a couple of trouble free races. The bike is good and he’s fast so he will get another breakthrough. He’s just gonna have to roll with the punches a little.

He needs starts! Has the pace and grit, but can't come from 15th every race.

EVERY top rider has a P10-P15 start a few times in a season. The Champs turn them into P3-P7 finishes...or better.

He did that at H3. He got a mid pack start and rode through the pack. Once he was 4th he was the fastest rider on the track, he did eventually go down in the sand but he passed Tomac back almost immediately. Without that small crash he would've been in the mix for the W.

I haven't given up on him being a solid podium contender all season long. Although this weekends round wasn't good, that is for sure. It will be extremely important for him to have a solid next race.

And you guys said Webb rides a WIDE bike!
Holy SheepShit you could see the frustration from Tomac, he was faster but couldn't get thru the defensive riding of Bam Bam.

And don't get me wrong I like Justin and the fact he kept Tomac behind him. 👍

Old school racer. Cool
