No disappointments here. I thought it was a great season opener and it sets up for a great season.

Craig said the track was hard to pass on as it was fast. Watching Roczen try Barcia a few times I think he was right.

Tomac and Anderson... Neither looked to have much fight in them. Both went backwards... Osborne passed 12 bikes in the main. Track was "fast and easy", if you can say that... Tuesday's goes the other direction, we'll see if that makes much difference.

Still waiting for feld/dirt wurx to get their head out of their asses and slow the tracks down with steeper obstacles. That track was incredibly fast and the wheel tap rhythm was waiting to take someone down hard. Luckily it didn’t happen

Benny got caught up in a first lap pileup in the LCQ that took him out, so it wasn't really his fault.

My biggest disappointments had to have been Webb and Tomac. The champions of the last two years finishing outside the top ten?! That never happens...

I’m from Illinois so Chase Sexton having a bad night was disappointing. We cheer him on no matter what so if he has a bad race we are disappointed. He’ll be back!

I missed the regular broadcast crew. It’s weird without Emig and Ralph.

Those bitching about the fans weren’t there. The riders most definitely appreciated having some butts in the seats. You could see it at opening ceremonies and with the podium speeches. We couldn’t hear a damn thing Craig said but the emotion on his face was clear and the crowed cheered him heavily - and he heard it.

Track was ok. There were places to pass but they are all so good it takes a mistake usually. No one was really forcing the issue being round 1. You could see guys let up instead of blasting someone. That will change as points race gets tighter. Dirt was very good.

I agree on the audio thing, as far as television goes, because you literally could not hear a word that Ian Harrison said during the 250 main as the bike noise was too loud. I am sure they will get that sorted before the next round.

4. Jett Lawrence. Should’ve been on the podium.

AP7 had one of his best 450 career finishes and with 3 factory riders on the Star team they took 3 of those 8 spots is damn impressive. I thought AP7 looked awesome all night.

I think Webb. Wasn’t great in practice or in the heat but I thought he would turn it around in the main like he usually does. Granted he got a bad start but he finished where he should have finished based on his speed. He was the 9th best guy

I guess I'm the odd man out...I can't think of a legitimate complaint or disappointment. Was the production or track perfect...no, but it didn't suck...at least not enough to complain about. As far as rider performance/results...it's racing and determination/luck determine those so what's to complain about? What a great kick off to the season.

People complaining about the track.. 94 & 51 had that quad, was anyone else doing it? That would have been a passing spot for other riders in the back.
Webb didn’t qualify great and didn’t have pace to make passes.
We talk about it being the most stacked field ever, and then complain about track not allowing passing.
Maybe the level is so high that there are less mistakes being made leaving less opportunities to pass.
Kenny making passes from corner to corner on the straight was awesome.

This is what I was thinking as well. We couldn’t hear the announcers at all over the bike noise the whole night. I’m just happy to have racing back, but would have liked to hear the commentating.

I think the title of this thread should be who didn’t perform to your expectations. How can you be disappointed with any of those guys?....oh yeah, and rather then bash on Diffy, I’ll just say I think he showed how Sheehan wasn’t that bad.

I get what he's saying. During MX you get to keep watching the racing during regular TV commercial breaks. With SX the break is between racing so you're just staring at a shot of the track. It would just be nice for those of us paying for the service to have something extra. Maybe talk about the previous race, or a camera in the pits watching teams work on the bikes...anything other than dead air.

Leigh Diffey is a far better commentator than Ralph. Anyone complaining about him is just afraid of change, because I don’t know how anyone could’ve watched last night and thought he was worse

I think you missed it a bit. The track literally looked flat outside of the standard triple. They need to bring in different obstacles to slow it down, aka steep doubles that won’t kill a rider hitting a rhythm 3rd gear wide open and when it goes wrong it will go really wrong. I understand it’s a matter of cost per ton of dirt. But still.... it’s embarrassing

Track was ok= my favorite rider podiums
Track sucked = my favorite rider finished out of top 10

Biggest disappointment to me would have to be the results of tomac and Webb. I figured at least one of them would slice through the pack to a top 5.

Racing was great. Only downside was Peacock with 1g internet and UHD tv was horrible by 2021 standards.

I think that was one of plessinger s best rides on a 450 . I think people have mad expectations for him . To be dominating or something. When you look back on 250s he was never as good as webb , roczen, tomac , MM25 , barica , AC ,DF14 .Osborne i think he will show flashes and could win a few races. But i think last night was really soild for him

Wonder what's up with Anderson? If any of you watched the interview that Ralph and RC did with the entire RR Husky Team, Anderson seemed so disconnected and uninterested. He wasn't engaging like the rest of the team members and you could just see all over his face that he wasn't into it. Maybe just a bad day for him that day?
Ando seems like a guy that had a mission in Moto, he completed his mission, and now in his head he’s just ticking off laps because he can’t imagine doing anything else in his life except racing
