People have been clamoring for less expensive bikes for a long time. Is this a chance for a group to go from, say, "Ready to Race" to something along the lines of, "Ready to Ride?" If so, what's wrong with that?
Pricing is on their website. 700-900 cheaper than KTM/Husky.

The way the whole thing was explained to me was GG was going to ultimately be the "entry" lineup of KTM motorcycles.

They plan to utilize older tech parts and lower cost items to provide a lower cost machine that will meet the needs of probably 90% of people.

I like the idea personally. Imagine if KTM released the 2017 models side by side with their current 2021 models but at $1000 or $1500 less cost. This is what GG will essentially be doing in time. The 2021 GG models will likely be a blend of 2018-2019 tech and parts.

They're going even older than that. They have some of Pingree's frames from 2002 left over, bargain priced.

For years all I hear is "KTM's are too expensive" - Maybe the GG is the entry level KTM with a price point to meet the Japanese bikes?

So do I have this right? I may be nuts but this is the way I see it.

Husqvarna for vet riders and guys who want a cushy, more mellow power band and reasonable bike height (shorter suspension) . Most expensive of the three

KTM for the harder edge racer

GASGAS for the more budget conscious guys who still want most of the KTM features without the 11 grand price tag.

Seems logical...

I haven't heard it expressed exactly like that, but it makes a lot of sense for each one to have its own niche. Husky and KTM have been pretty similar for a while. Having a third brand that does exactly the same thing as the others wouldn't seem to make much sense.

Here is a pic of the 2021 450 SXF in my garage. I haven't ever seen a cross member on a production frame, although I've seen it on the factory bike frames last year I think...

Plastic is a million times better shaped than ktm shrouds and side panels. I’d buy this over a ktm fir that reason alone. Beautiful bikes👍

Looks like the same header pipe too. Doesn't look like any of the newer works goodies made the cut.

I gave up on 52mm spring forks a few years ago.

Can’t wait for the 35 pager (See 2021 RM-Z450 thread) where it’s dubbed a chunk of shit because it costs less yet doesn’t have the high end parts and latest tech.
