My best one is fame by association. I lived across the street from and graduated from high school with a dude that flew F16's and would eventually pilot the space shuttle a few times.

1976 Manitoba Big Wheel Schoolboy Champion on the ultra trick Suzy RM100. After that all I did was spend a small fortune racing and buying bikes and vans and making great friends and travelling with the boys. Wouldn't change it for the world. It was all just fucking great. Pretty tough to find a feeling that replicates being behind the gate when the board goes sideways.

Being a mid-pack local Pro for a bit lol

Created a pilot for a television series about four Latinas in bikinis fishing. Sold the series to FOX Sports Mexico, Colombia, Argentina and Chile, but got shut down when the contracts went to FOX headquarters in LA for final signatures. Damn that #metoo (pound me too) movement. Bad timing, but a great week in Florida!

My best moto memory is crashing in the first turn at our local track, getting up and winning the moto. The best part is that I ended up lapping Will Hahn. Shortly after that I burnt myself out and hung up the boots at age 14. 4 years later I randomly turned on supercross and got sick to my stomach when I saw Will on a factory team!

My cousin is the drummer for NoDoubt. I've been to his house and almost asked him if I could borrow one of his MTV Moon Men for a photo opportunity. Shoulda, coulda, woulda.

The naked drummer😯
The funny thing is, he's actually a lot more down-to-Earth in person than his stage persona would indicate. Family man, plays golf a lot. I met Gwen once via association with Adrian, and she was cool AF too; actually a little shy.

I forgot a few other claims to fame:

-I once beat Billy Laninovich at an exhibition race in the '90s. (He was way faster but was having too much fun and he crashed in front of some friends, then started throwing dirt clods at them when they heckled him. I got lucky.) He would later go on to factory KTM and Amsoil Honda. He won the San Francisco SX in the 250F division in '05.

-Weston Peick's dog took a crap on my lawn a few months ago. Woohoo Grinning My wife talks to his wife on the regular now. They're cool people.

Full disclosure: twice on the first lap.

I don't think so. If he was I wasn't aware of it. I believe Edison Dye or Clymer, one of those guys paid Torsten a big amount of money to show up and show us how it was done. Miserable event. As I said it rained for three days.

I won some local races when I was younger...other than that...hung out with Jake Weimer and had some beers and BS’d about Moto. Also rode at his dads place where he used to have a SX track, but now is a gnarly turn track that he uses to help get Some big name amateur riders ready for races. I still text him from time to time. Pretty cool dude!

Ha! Not a fluffer...

I work in the film industry as a stuntman. Because I was a smaller guy - 5’8” - 135 lbs, immediately after racing I got into doing stunts.

My first job was stunt doubling for Andrea Carson in Disney’s “motocrossed”

Then Cameron Diaz on “Charlie’s Angels: Full throttle”

Then Alysa Milano on the 1-800-collect commercial.

Then Monet Mazure on “Torque”

- and the list went on until my metabolism caught up and I gained a little weight. Finally doubling guys like Giovanni Ribisi and recently Aaron Paul.

Being listed in (for top 3 in in a stacked 80cc class) MXA for the Muddy Creek Top Gun Showdown back in late 80's... I think Bradshaw was back after turning pro so they were there covering that

Also ripped a massive hole shot at LL's one year from the outside gate.. like 3-4 bike lengths by first turn. Led for 19 minutes and hit the wall. Finished second that moto. my best moto finish at the ranch

In 1980 I beat "Rocket Rex' Staten twice for the 250 pro overall at his home track Corona Raceway. Also that year I beat "Gassin" Gaylon Mosier at Saddleback. I raced in the Speedway National Championship from 1990 to 2004 best finish 7th overall.
I am #26.

I once scored four touchdowns in a single game (Polk High School Panthers) in the 1966 city championship against Andrew Johnson High School, including scoring the game-winning touchdown in the final seconds against my old nemesis, "Spare Tire" Dixon.

Sweet bud, interesting career you have. I've been on a good bunch of shoots both in aviation and bikes. Only gripe are that the hours on set can be brutal. My favourate part of being on set is the catering...I love to eat.

Here's a shoot using our B205 UH-1H for a music video. Tokio Hotel - Monsoon

(Embedded a clip bellow - hopefully it shows, if not then I summons Ol Maverick for help)

Built a pitbike track next to our Helibase clubhouse. Hosted plenty of sick races there.

My wife and I were invited to the American Music Awards in 1988 by a friend that produced it for ABC. Got to go back stage and talk to Smokey Robinson for a long time, great human. Was introduced to Magic Johnson, DLR, Cher and some others. At the end of the of the show all the stars were on the stage with the BeeGees and were singing a Beach Boy song and we were invited to go on the stage and sing. I was really getting into the song and the good looking BeeGee handed be the dead 🎤 and told me that I needed it more than he did.

Moto-Related - Had Russ Darnell talking about us for years after he could not get over us nailing our tarp to the top of our home made wooden trailer - it was the 80's.
Non Moto - Got to travel as a photographer with the World Champion NY State Little League team on their trips to Yankee Stadium, the World Trade Center and Citi Field in NYC - those kids were treated like gold!
