I'm pretty sure the AMA will make up the rules AFTER the race..., and claim that the rules were clearly stated at the riders' meeting back in 2012.

Stumbled across this today and I have to agree Aston was amazing, he would beat up on the factory guys with his stock motorcycle. I remember a bunch of us going to watch the Golden State Series race at Sand hill ranch where he blew the doors off of Johnny Omara and the rest of them, I remember standing there and everyone asking who he was. I also remember all of us Norcal guys knowing he was the fastest rider around. He tragically lost his leg in a street bike accident going to get a new helmet. I see here...

Yeah but you can just tell the AMA to bring the guy into the room with you so you can intimidate him. If that doesn't work, just call Yamaha and they'll shake him down til he gives up. And afterwards, if the story gets out they'll call in Steve Matthes to make sure everyone blames the guy who followed the rules.

That move by Webb sucks, he was looking really good before that.

Kinda feel like that was intentional from webb.... not putting himself on the ground obviously, but took quite the angle for it being that early in the race. Need to see some replays.

Years ago when I watched Tevin Tapia at Washougal on a 125 destroy the field of local pro’s that all were on 4 strokes I realized that the bike isn’t as big deal as I previously thought….if the rider is comfortable on the bike. At the top elite pro level that 10% can probably be the difference between 1st and “just” top 10.

We really need that posting rule…the one where you are not allowed to start a thread until you’ve had 100 posts…or if you can’t pass a 2nd grade writing test…
