Oh dang, I almost tode their today but I unfortunately went to Pala (which reminded how much I don't like Pala).

Hopefully Damon's injury isnt that bad.

One compound the other straight fracture. I would assume in surgery to at least clean things up or fix before heading home to Idaho

Ouch! I've broken my fair share of bones but luckily have never had a compound. That is so gnarly it makes me cringe just imagining it.Hope he heals up quick and doesn't lose the ambition to keep riding.

Also just want to note how awesome it was to hear the dude recording being so excited seeing these two dice it up again on a practice day. Made me smile just listening to his commentary (up until the crash, of course).

From what I can tell from the video and commentary, the landing of that long jump has a wall of dirt on the left side, and he hit that slope which caused his crash

They said that jump is aimed toward the wall. So I guess you have to jump it turning. That was really cool and crazy that chicken stopped and gave him a ride back. Love it

dude that sucks... was cool watching the video up until the end of course. I remember the SX where they were brake checking each other and stopping on the track...probably still have it on VHS somewhere at my parents house!

Chicken blocks Damon while he regroups. Some other guy doubles Damon back and Jeff rides Damon’s bike back to the pits with him it seems.

Ended up just being a bad boxers break in one of his hands. Luckily it wasn’t as bad as first reported. Surgery today in CA and will be headed home soon.
