“Handed the championship” chase had 5 wins. He owned the season. Where was Shane last night when he let Sexton by and he pulled away 10 seconds? Or the last race when he passed him and once again pulled away? Or the beginning of the season when marchbanks and hampshire beat him?

Obviously Shane isn’t the person for restarts? That was the main point I was making. If you take away the two restart races where Shane was leading And it would have finished how they were running it would be slated the other way. Shane 5 chase 3. If you look at average start position Shane was better than Chase 2.4 vs 2.6. And laps led Shane at 64 and Chase at 57. Then if you want to look at qualifying spots Shane’s average was 1.6 to Chase’s 2.5. Both were deserving of the championship no doubt.
as GL would say, if my aunt had balls...

Why doesent Feld get a fuel sponsor? All teams must use VP for instance or Shell’s 102 octane fuel?
Everyone gets the same gas, prep your engines for that and nothing else, saw someone mentioning that Reed chose the ”wrong” fuel and thats why it boiled in SL1(?)

Why would you want to chase fuel manufacturers away? Sponsorship money is needed.

Do you think that both of those races would have finished as they were? If so, please explain SLC6 where Shane had the lead and Sexton straight owned him.

Were both deserving of the championship? There's only one guy with a #1 plate this morning.

Dude, you put way too much research into such a bad take.

You lost me at "and it would have finished how they were running". No, it wouldn't have. Wouldn't have mattered. Chase made up a 7 second gap on Shane in the HEAT RACE, and Shane started ahead on BOTH re-starts. Even without the red flag, Sexton would've Chased him down (haha).

You don't deserve a championship for getting holeshots, or MA800 would be a 15X champ. You don't deserve a championship for qualifying position, just ask James Stewart or AC9.

Illegal fuel and a possibly half plugged exhaust(see the dumbgeon)..... Gieco is up to some tricky things these days. All reality it was Shane’s championship to have. But two bad restarts on his part handed the championship to Sexton. Congrats to whoever they crown champion!

Where was Shane? Last I heard he was still getting used to the bike and the team while praying really hard to be the one god chooses to win the title this year lol.

Yep. Shane just got beat both times. Without a restart it may have taken another 5 or 6 laps for Chase to get to the front, but Chase had the speed both races.

I don't think Honda cheated.

However, interestingly enough, I do know from a friend at VP that Ryan Dungey was working on developing his own race fuel, and coincidentally he had some involvement with the team early in the year. I don't think they're linked but I do enjoy giving a little piece of fat to chew on for all the conspiracy theorists out there.

Feld is the promoter they cant make or enforce any rules for fuel even if they had a series fuel sponsor it would be up to the AMA/FIM to alter and enforce and new spec fuel rules. So Feld has nothing to do with it.

I don't care how many times a rider brings up God or religion on the podium or in interviews, someone here dropping it into a post here is just lame. Stop it.

I never said he didn’t get flat out beat. He did, we all know that. Mistakes cost McElrath the championship. At the end of the SLC1 laps led were Shane (41) to Chase (11). So yes by not riding like he should have McElrath handed Chase the championship.

I dont think so, Its just like Monster is the series sponsor but you still have the RedBull riders and teams. Feld does not get involved with the rules no matter who the title sponsors are.

The question for me is, is this just a desperate move from star or do they have actual 'proof'? Like what made them think sexton is running illegal fuel?

Red Flags...
Restarts...
All the ranting aside.

Am I the ONLY ONE that watched Chase HAND THE LEAD TO SHANE...?
(After the RED FLAG...After the restart...)

And, as a Shane fan, I saw Shane was not able to run away from Chase.

I'm just keepin' it real. Grinning

So you don't have a problem with McElrath expressing his opinion about religion every chance he gets, but you have a problem with us expressing our opinions about him doing so? Just trying to understand your logic here.

I don't watch the TV shows, so I don't hear it. But if I rode as fast as those guys do, I'd want to think that there's someone watching over my shoulder. It's their personal belief, and I think that people who mock them for it in a forum are just being...well, rather shitty. Especially, when in a context like, "...praying really hard to be the one god chooses to win the title this year lol."

That said, it's also why I don't allow people to talk politics or religion in Non-Moto. I may bring that rule over here, too. Consider it a warning shot.

Boom, mic drop. Pretty much sums it up. Chase owned the race after the restart. I was a skeptic after last years championship, but this year made a believer of me. Sexton and Ferrandis are going to be fun to watch on the 450s.

I was prepared for a roller derby battle royale between the PC, Star, and Geico teams... but it never really materialized on the track.

Kinda was my thinking also. And as mentioned before, wondering how Star would even have proof or is it just a shot in the dark? And I was rooting for Shane, I just feel like unless they know for sure, it's kinda lame. I think Shane just got beat, as much as I hate to say it.

Bashing ones personal beliefs is probably what he has a problem with. I dont see Shane up there making fun of people who aren't religious. He's better than that. You on the other hand are not better than that. It just blows my mind you dont have something better to be offended about. Now it's your turn to try and backpedal and say you're not offended and blah blah blah.
