Before this race he was what 15 points down on Jett and Coop despite being in the first year of a major switch from aluminum to steel frames, and having a hand injury? I think that’s a little premature to call this a disaster. He doesn’t look as fast as he did last year, but he’s making less mistakes, and has pretty much been the same place in the standings as he was last year. I think it’s fair to give another year before we start saying stuff like that.

If you ignore RC saying “yelling at his mechanic” and watch and listen then he doesn’t act or sound pissed at the mechanic. Concussions aren’t limited to only hits to the head. Any sudden momentum change can cause the brain to bounce around inside your skull and cause a concussion. Even crazier, fighters can get concussed from body blows.

Something that got me thinking as I was watching him cruise around still finishing as one of the top 10 best riders in the pro supecross.. I thought, damn how good must one be When you can cruise around going wide in corners to let dudes by and still be faster than 99% of dirt bike riders in the world.

Moto comunity is such a toxic place, he was fast, he won a championship, he had a drug and mental problem and probably couldnt get the help he needed, everyone struggles with their own shit. Just apprecciate him for what he is and enjoy the time he had on top, nothing is going to change that. He's like James Hunt, one and done and you dont see people shitting on Hunt's carreer choices, would i like to see Jlaw ride again? yes. Do i expect him to win a title again, no. I could be wrong but it wouldn't have mattered because he lost the lap by not passing the transponder line at the finish line. Whether he finished the race or not that first lap wouldn't have been counted.

I was standing right by the triple after the Ten Commandments. The corner before the triple the bike cut out and he went off the track and was revving and listening to the bike. It didn’t sound good. My guess is he knew the motor was done and wasn’t going to last the whole moto so instead of trying to ride it and it potentially blowing up over a jump or something he just rode back to the truck

I can already tell you Deegan is working through things that Mike didn’t have to… I’m not saying Deegan is better than Mike, honestly he’s not even close. But with that said, Mike never really learned to pass. He didn’t have to.
