Either back of my truck or friends 12' trailer. Few chairs, small pop up canopy if we have the trailer. I pack all my gear in plastic tote, sprays and oils in another small plastic tote, and bench top tool box.
One day I'll have my own trailer and step up my at the track game. Working on shop so that's my money now.

Last year was our first year racing and we started with a pickup and a pop-up camper. Then my friend from Amarillo bought a camper and since we go by AMA on our way to the TX enduros, we usually haul the bikes and he pulls his camper. After the first race with his camper, I sold my Casita travel trailer and bought a small toy hauler and that's our rig now. We still use his camper for TX races but use ours (in reverse... he catches a ride with us) for CO races.

Race #1. Note the evolution of the bikes, too!!!

Race #2:

Race #3. New toy hauler.

Trying to figure out how to rig the bikes. This didn't last long... I made a wooden rack right after this:

2020. Back in Texas

Friend made me an excellent metal rack for the toy hauler, based on my wooden rack:

Sweet set up for the bikes to hook in.

Can't find any setup pictures, but this is our (not actually set-up) setup. I had the axles flipped since I took these photos to improve the ground clearance issue in the front that was caused by the 3 propane cylinder/3 battery storage area that hangs too far below the actual trailer frame.

Hey dood what's with the green number plate backgrounds?
Old 250 class in Australia used to be green but didn't think it was in the states?

Why you so soft, you afraid of sitting on a cooler like a real man? Laughing

It was a joke.

Really, a pickup and a dirtbike is my favorite setup.

What was wrong with the wheel chock on the wood? I recently picked up a toy hauler and was thinking of doing that.
The angle of the tie-downs. Tying to the D-loops in the TH.... I could only get a sharp down angle on the outside and that does NOTHING to stabilize the bikes. The further out you get, and the higher up, the better.

So, I quickly made a 2x4 board with tie-down hook on the ends, as far out as I could get them and that was very stable. Since I already had a board tied to the floor D-rings, I just made tire chocks for it and then didn't need the wheel chocks anymore. The metal rack is pretty much a sturdier and more adjustable copy of my test wooden one. If I was gonna do anything different or add anything, I'd use taller risers to get the tie-down hooks farther off the ground for a more-horizontal tie-down angle. The more horizontal, the better.

If you can get a longer angle with the wheel chock board, it'll work fine. Maybe run a rail along the rear edge of the trailer and hook to that. I thought about doing that, too but I had the 2x4 materials on hand and didn't have the rail.

Here is my VW Crafter, I have owned it for about 6 years now, I can get the sidecar or 3 bikes in... we also use it for holidays (vacations) when the garage gets filled with pushbikes and surfboards... it’s great seeing different ideas on the same idea from around the world... stay safe people.

Some damn nice setups in here. Well done fellas.

On a side note, didn't realize how many guys on here are actually riding enduros/harescrambles.

Only thing missing in this pic is the easy up and the folding chairs really. A smaller toy hauler is definitely on my want list.

I have nothing but a truck and a 6x12 open trailer anymore. Used to have a 16x8 box trailer set up pretty nice and then found a nice garage coach back in 2009 when the motorhome market shit the bed and pissed all over the pillows. Bought it cheap. Kept it insured for what I paid for it and when it got flood damage 9 years later I got all my money back that I paid for it. I came out really good on that deal, but will probably never be able to replace it as they are stupid expensive again.

It's for the OTMX Oldtimers Motocross Club. They have an international series that has races across the country, they have different colored backgrounds for different skill levels. It helps keep the right guys in the right practice, lets you know who's in your class if they combine gates etc. It's not enforced at the local level anymore because unless your gung ho on the otmx club who wants to buy another set of plastic and run a color that might not "compliment" the appearance of your bike (Gasp!) Laughing But the rule is still enforced at "International" races. A lot of guys use a couple strips of colored duct tape. They used to have a "Required club jersey rule" too. It made the group stand out and gave it a club feel. But too many guys said they wouldn't join the club if they had to wear that "Ugly jersey" etc. Green plates with white numbers- Novice. Yellow plates with black numbers-Intermediate. White plates with black numbers-Expert, and the fastest class "Masters" run black backgrounds with white numbers.

I had been looking for a fun mover at a good price for quite a while, finally came across this one which has been around the MX industry a bit. I wouldn't be surprised at all if several on here have seen it with previous owners. It does the job. May not be the prettiest, but its reliable, functional, and cost me less than what i would have paid for most trailers. She's old, but a great race rig. Just won't win any beauty contests.

Still looks good to me ,if you want to bring the shine back to that black just get yourself some Zep floor wax it works great on black trailers. you do have to redo it every year though.

I actually got those on sale at Home Depot a while back. I don’t remember who makes them. Thanks for looking!

Wanted to add something here... I made two U shaped pieces from re-bar. I can now pound them in the ground and slip the tie-down rack under, then finish the pounding to get it snugged down. This gives me an anchored rack to hook the bikes. Only have to carry 1 stand now.

the hook should go on the FRONT of the leg, not the rear as shown here.

Here's the rack in action:

We found tie-downs to be faster and easier than using J-hooks because the latter take a wrench to get light. With tie-downs, I'll loop the extra and tie it for a backup If I used J-hooks again, I'd put a carabiner on each end and make sure i get the open one 'cause they're easier to turn by hand than the ones with the hex body.

This mess is why I decided to stake down the rack.

Bump.

Would love to see some more setups. We have a fun mover type class c (very similar to the one above) I’m going to be going through this weekend to start getting ready for when I get back riding. Planning on playing out the old sprinter van I use to start using the fun mover the majority of the time because of how nice it is at the track.

Anyways here a few of the setups I’ve used in the past. The sprinter is an old fed ex van, it has some pretty cool food down aluminum shelves. Other than that its a tad clapped out and still has the 65 mph limit from fedex. But it was super cheap

The class c was just just something My dad let me use for the weekend. Was pretty pumped on it at the time though.

I wish I had more pictures, my dad buys and sells rvs so I’ve been able to experience quite the array of rvs throughout the years. One of my favorites have been taking any B class sprinter rvs to the races, because they are so small and drive great. This summer we are going to make a drive out to redbud for amateur day and watching the pro national and the plan is to take some sort of diesel pusher and a hitch mount type toy hauler so all 6 of us will be able to be pretty comfortable for the 4 days or so.

22' KZ Sportster. Queen bed up front, fold out couch in back. Usually only put 2 bikes inside, but could set up for 3 fairly easily if needed.

Very comfortable for 2 or 3 people. If the whole family comes we picked up a set of Costco bunk bed cots that set up and break down pretty quickly and are more comfortable than the fold out couch for the kids.
