Last year MXON was at Ironman in Indiana. It was pretty tame in the campground other than a motorhome caught fire likely from a faulty refrigerator. Last MXON at Redbud was 2022. It got kind of wild in the campground that year after the pitbike race. I personally did not witness any fights.... just lots of chainsaws, drinking and tom foolery. I don't know of any that rent bikes and/or gear. I'm not sure you can just ride Oak Hill much anymore either. They do mostly training there now and are only open to the public on select weekends and that is typically only one day of a select weekend. Really sucks but it's few and far between. It does always surprise me it isn't more of a priority feature on Vital given its seeming popularity. I personally think it's a great idea. At the speeds pro guys are going and how rough the tracks get, I think it will help reduce injuries. Yes, it's new but I it's appropriate for rider safety. Look what it has done for MotoGP. None of those guys would go out without one now. It's natural to think that mandating something new for the sake of safety is overstepping ones personal choice. And I appreciate that, but I also feel like the organizing parties or association that organize racing should do everything they can to makes participation safer if possible...
