Lots of discussion in the silly season thread but the only thing confirmed by multiple people in the industry that would know is Eli is searching for a multiple year (possibly SX/SMX only) deal and wants more money than what Star is offering him. Maybe he settles and stays with what’s familiar or maybe he finds a new home, we’ll have to wait and see.

I would have bet my life savings (if I had some lmao) on Jett before the season, but this version of Tomac looks even faster/scarier than in 2022/2023. They're in trouble.

It really goes to show how great, and what phenoms, these guys at the end of the career really were/are. A young blood comes in with this blazing speed at the most opportune moment and it just took a year to get right, catch up and beat him straight up! There is no more fitting name than Beast Mode for Tomac. Insane.

Eli beat the kid straight up while he was breathing down his neck 1/2 the race. Good for Eli. I know he wanted this after last year. This could nbe an awesome final season!

Eli will be quite a bit better than last year simply due to recovery from injury and finally getting time on the bike. The question is whether it will be enough to beat Jett. Chase is an enigma. He may win quite a bit, or not at all. Neither will surprise me. Jett is the favorite, but I don’t know if he’ll actually be better. The 2025 bike does not seem to be sorted for SX, yet….

We have never seen Jett go up against Eli when healthy. Jett has never raced beast mode. Unpopular opinion but I don’t think that 24’ Jett was better than 22’ Eli.

Did Shimoda get boo'd last night? How about Prado or any other foreigners? Jett gets boo'd because of his antics and cockiness, not because he's a foreigner. If Jett is humble and doesn't perform tantrums (at Anderson) he'll get a lot less hate and boos. Nearly all of it depends on character. Deegan gets a ton of hate as well, but it stems from his antics and cockiness too. However, his podium speech last night was very solid/humble and will lessen hate for him if he continues that tone.
