Watching the latest Title 24 episode, Villopoto says from what he's seen watching Eli ride in WSX and training clips, that ET3 looks better and improved in the ruts, and just might have closed that gap to Jett.
Do we agree or disagree with the legend or is he just hyping up the season?
Thought a preseason poll would be fun. Praying everyone survives until Nationals. 😁
Did not look close in the ruts at Matterley…
I'd argue Tomac had the speed to match him and Gasjer, or very close, but did not have the stamina. Keep in mind it was only his 3rd National in like 2 years, and that performance showed he can still do it. Now, if we follow Weege's theory, he won't be able to have it every weekend, but I fully expect Tomac to give Jett the business a few times this year. All speculation, but I hope I'm right, it'll be interesting to see how Jett handles it
Big ET fan and would love to see him do that but the kid is just really good and even though he’s young he’s not prone to making the same mistakes repeatedly. Also, Eli has got to get starts to even have a shot. There’s no start in 7th and work to the front anymore.
Jetts only going to improve while the others have had to play catch up

No one will stay with Jett if he has starts like last year. That red machine was a rocket out of the gate. Consistency will be factor #2. It’s a long SMX series.
When the top 10 or so run pretty much same lap times, I would be practicing start after start, And i wonder do the metal grates get replaced? or do they use them over and over and get dull? I would be looking for the newest sharp edged one if so....
As JT said in the preview shows, the most important thing for any rider out there right now is to be as consistent as possible and be right there in line to capatalize on Jetts mistakes. Out of Tomac, Sexton and Webb, I probably give Tomac the edge if he finds back to his 2022/2023 form. He looked great in the end last year and will probably only get better.
IDK I would give the consistency crown to Webb.
Tomac lacking stamina? Logging onto the forum, logging out critical thinking.
We have never seen Jett go up against Eli when healthy. Jett has never raced beast mode. Unpopular opinion but I don’t think that 24’ Jett was better than 22’ Eli.
Thumbs up simply because your choices were funny. 👍🏼
Yes- Eli can and will "hang" with Jett circa 2025-
I have to side with youthful exuberance on this one.
"Jett wasn't 100% at RD 1 SMX"...was the excuse given when Tomac beat him striaght up while he "wasn't at 100% either".
If Jett can keep on 2 wheels consistently nobody will have his pace. But similar to JS7, he has all the speed and amazing ability but with that comes inherent risk and makes him crash at different times more often then others. Time will tell and I just prey for a competitive season with all riders staying healthy. Cant wait for Saturday night!
They’re doubting our boy. They will see😂
I'm sorry y'all. ET3 is my favorite rider and I'm a patriot but Donutboy has him covered. It just makes sense as Eli is a vet, Jett is fresh.
I just think about Eli getting beat straight up at his house (Daytona). Still makes me teary-eyed til this day.
One things for sure....it's going to be another long season...
...of circle-jerking Jett threads.
Pit Row
Just wait til DNGR goes 450
Eli will be quite a bit better than last year simply due to recovery from injury and finally getting time on the bike. The question is whether it will be enough to beat Jett.
Chase is an enigma. He may win quite a bit, or not at all. Neither will surprise me.
Jett is the favorite, but I don’t know if he’ll actually be better. The 2025 bike does not seem to be sorted for SX, yet….
Lets be honest. If Daytona was dry, Tomac would've won. He played too conservative in the deep wet rutted soil. If Daytona was raced on Friday last year, Tomac would've embarrassed Jett. Go back and watch him on Press Day.
Watching on Press Day doesn't do anything lol. Well hopefully Daytona is dry this year, Eli's last hurrah. Gonna be epic.😈
Yeah and you'll be the first one in every thread posting memes about the hunter brothers, let's be honest. I also already can't wait for you to be in every race thread telling us that you don't bother watching the "clown show" of racing.
He can definitely hang with him. Jett has the edge. But Eli is right there and in the right circumstances might even have him covered.
Sexton, Webb and Hunter will be in the equation at times too. None of the poll options seem to account for that.
Who is doing Eli’s suspension now?
The universe may implode.
