Railed corner before whoops standing the whole time to increase entry into the whoops when he passed malcom. Insanity of the night.

That was such a good race. I was surprised to see Jett so happy after not winning. Must be happier with the bike and all that!

Thats the old pre Achilles injury Eli. If he keeps that momentum, them boys in trouble. They're at such a blazing pace the entire time that Eli's moves I mentioned above helped maintain it i believe. He eventually adjusted the sand corner once the outside started getting blown out and any time jett gain on him in those 2 insides he used Eli got right back with raw power.

That pass around the outside in the sand was ridiculous. It was like he was at Southwick.

I noticed the adjustments as well. It seems like in the past, Eli would keep using a line even when it became slower. He made several adjustments tonight mid-race to switch to a better line.

Definitely looked more like the Eli of old. I think people were too quick to write him off last season when he was coming back from major injury. Today him and Jett gapped the field by 15 seconds, so it wasn't anything to do with Jett riding poorly, I think they both genuinely gave their best and tonight Eli was faster.

Absolutely unreal skill, wide open linking outside to outside. Just classic Tomac riding...

Are you not entertained!

I don’t think people wrote Tomac off, just that he clearly wasn’t back to himself yet and that only seems to be further cemented as true.

It’d be hard to argue this isn’t the best Tomac we’ve seen in SX but it’s not difficult to say last year wasn’t the Eli of old.

Didn’t Chase have a similar gap last week? And came back from last to 6th similar to Eli’s last to 5, going to be good if all 3 get out front and stay up

That pass in the sand on Jett was incredible. Full commitment, full send.

Eli's bike looks great. He can do whatever he needs to and it's still obviously very stiff. Jett looks like he's looking for edges all the time, but better than last week so imagine it will improve some more. Should be a great season between them.

His bike is allowing him to adjust with confidence.  He could hammer those whoops and at that bike stayed damn straight as well.

They'll show that on a highlight reel for decades.....       One of the coolest things I've seen in a long time.

Where's Steve Matthes when you need him? He's got a foot to toss in his mouth..

Jett was faster mid race and just settled in. Tomac didn't gap him at all. I wouldn't call that "beast mode".

His speed through the right hand 90 before the triple was defying physics and made no sense whatsoever ever. How can his tires hold any grip!?  And then he was getting some wild turbo boost off the second on off into the finish line.

Lets all pray to the moto gods that it is this tight every race this season.

Eli passed and pulled away from Jett until he got stuck behind Roczen and Webb.

Yeah I kinda wanted to say the same thing but didn't feel like raining on the everyone's parade lol. Beast mode is  Tomac getting a bad start and blowing peoples doors off going 2sec a lap faster. Solid win and he's starting a long season perfectly. Not so much beast mode though

Take Jett away and Eli just came through the pack and gapped second place by a mile. That was beast mode. Eli kept last years champ behind him. He was the happiest I have seen him after a win in a long time. He knew he was on fire and was proud of that ride.

I think Jett was just relieved after hearing about and being in awe of 'Beast Mode' for about half of his life.

I noticed that on the on off too. Particularly when  he passed ken. I got to think it comes down to his ability to use the clutch better then maybe anyone in the field.

Nah steve will eat it. He was clear cut wrong on his eli take, no way to spin it. He's admitted to being wrong before

Chase only won by 4 seconds but he didn’t have a hungry Jett on his back tire the entire race. Those three imo are def the class of the field and I’ve got no doubt he coulda been right there with them. So stoked for Eli, such a fucking badass dude. This race kinda reminded me of Ironman 22 when chase and Eli worked their way through the pack as they battled.
