Eli has been a one-man army against the Aldon squad for so many years. Dungey, Marvin, Zacho... it was always just him vs them for titles. There's a natural rivalry there.

If Eli couldn't deal with roost he'd not have many wins. In fact if you ranked percentage of wins by career, come from behind or near the front, he's gotta be a league leader with come from behind by percentage, along with RV and LaRocco.

I’ve got no problem with a rider racing hard and fighting for position but these guys know what that looks like and what it doesn’t. We do need the Anderson, Barcia, and Deegan types of riders in this sport. However, he needs to realize he has a lot of years and try’s for championships left to race alongside people that can ruin that for you because you raced them like a douche.

I’d say the straps slipped on impact. There’s no way they were loose before that. On big impacts that force has to go somewhere and something will break. No boot can prevent all injuries.

But yet from that photo the boot did fail and the tendon indeed did rupture. Same result if the boot doesn't fail? Hard to say... But I'd guess no.

Being safe and improving safety is one thing criticizing those that are there doing their job while you sit on the couch is another...every downed rider should receive the best care possible but criticizing how that that care is performed from what you see on TV is insane....

X-rays show vertebral displacement and fractures. They sure can point to the possibility of cord injuries.

I hear ya on the scoop vs board. I don’t disagree with having a high insect of suspicion towards injury and safety. But the downside of spinal immobilization while on track is having multiple people including riders at longer risk of being unintentionally struck by other riders still competing. And, the downside to red flag/race stoppage is restart and we’ve all seen the carnage that can happen during restarts. I disagree on the implication that Webb was clearly disoriented. I totally recognize that he was wobbly when he first tried to stand and then was able to, but, without performing...

If the whole Alpinestars medical unit is ran by such morons then the OP can volunteer just like the rest of the people on the team. Not saying people don't make mistakes and that what happened with Brian was good at all. Things can always be made better, and they should be. So go right on ahead and sign yourself up.
