This is crazy. I wish an insider would tell us more. Everyone is so hush hush and I know people know more. Uh hum guyb

Im assuming an opportunity he wasn’t willing to pass up presented itself. No way Ryan DUNGEY with that much experience and a reputation of doing his homework and one of the hardest workers in the history of the sport gets 2 months into a season and says “fuck this job”

Agree, I'm sure he knew what the position would entail before committing. Regardless, all the best for all parties.

Oh No, the blind sheep in here said so. Meticulous Ryan never had an idea what he was up for!
Fuck there's some gullible stupid people in here.

Yeah or maybe nowhere. I could easily see him realizing how the travel sucks, especially now that he has a family. After being in airports for 12 years, I could not blame him if he wanted to live the quiet Minnesota life.
I'm in Minnesota and the frozen life isn't all it's cracked up to be lol.

I think its just a s bizzare that he bailed as it was that signed up for it in the first place. Maybe he felt bad about all that he helped KTM accomplish and what the've done for him put him on a guilt trip.

seems weird he would leave KTM for this team, and it be over so quick, be good to hear the real story, not the press release

Holy crap.

Do they give him his money back for investing in the team? or is it a loss for Dungey? I did read that he was part owner, right?

I would have thought that Ryan would know up front what the Geico team expected from him before he went down this road...

I'm guessing the family commitments line is pretty close to the truth. Race team participation seems to be "always on" in any role and maybe he thought it would be a 20 hr/week thing. Bummer - was nice to see him back in the sport.

I agree.....these kinds of things are always predicated upon something else. I wouldn't be the least bit surprised if he winds up with some kind of new deal with another mfg and gives some bullshit line about "coming back home to his roots blah blah blah this is something I've always wanted blah blah blah"

I could be wrong but 99.99% of the time these kinds of divorces are so phony where said rider has something else in the works.

From the sound of it it seems like they didn’t click well and maybe Ryan didn’t know what his role really was? That or they wanted more from him than he could give. He was SUPPOSED to be a silent partner/owner so I really dont understand what ROLE he had to play that was so dam taxing on him ....... he didnt have a role in the team that required him to do anything and by being a part owner he has ultimate say in how much he wants to be involved and as a part owner I doubt he was "required" to do anything or be anywhere. He who has the money or stake in the team decides what he does and doesnt want to do.

This actually reeks of bullshit in my opinion, I think he picked a better opportunity that when announced will show it's a conflict of interest

Instead of calling him a liar, how about giving him the benefit of the doubt?

You know literally 0% about the situation, yet you’re confident you know all the ins and outs and jump straight to calling him a phony and his statement bullshit...

Besides, the statement leaves a lot of room for interpretation. Basically just says he couldn’t commit to what the team needed him to and they agreed to separate. Maybe it was time, maybe it was money, maybe it was involvement.. We don’t know. What I do know is that you’re speculating on a lot of things and judging a mans character in the process.

He’s going to race outdoors on KTM. I’m reading RacerX right now where they said he was interested in racing a Honda outdoors but would never ride a Supercross bike again.

I bet KTM offered to buy him out of Geico plus a buttload of money to race outdoors. Maybe Webb is more hurt then we thought?

Well that didn’t last very long. I wonder if he’s got something brewing with Rodger?
he literally gave you the reason he pulled out.

I would say there's nothing fishy about this, but I find it odd that he removed every post on Instagram relating to GEICO Honda aside from this one announcing his departure from the team.

It literally could of been a family thing to be honest. Maybe wifey is like dude you need to be home. It could be as simple as that. I’m not raising this baby on my own and so he walked away knowing he couldn’t commit like he had too. He pretty much said that so that’s probably what it is.
