he’s badass. making mains at 38. But at the same time I don’t wanna see him get hurt really bad fucking around in the back of the pack. He’s secured his legacy. As long as he’s having fun I guess!

I’m enjoying the lcq drama with Reed. It’s a test of the champ’s resolve. Will he fight to improve, this late in his career? No other champ has put himself through such a test.

Chad’s too smart for his own good. He knows he isn’t prepared enough and he’s not hanging it out. He also doesn’t want to get hurt and ruin his Lambo gig. I think he will progressively get better.

Yeah that would be the most privateer bike he's ridden his whole career. Suspension doesn't even have coatings. However despite that, hard whoops were the reason he was slightly better last night. When he was getting lapped by Roczen he made some ground up again in the whoops. He was actually faster than Roczen through the whoops that lap at least. Which made me question what was going on with the 94 bike?

I think he is smart for doing a farewell season. If you actually go to the race you would realize that he has a huge following still and is bringing fans from all over to say their goodbyes. Wish James had done the same. If you wish otherwise I don’t think you are a true fan of the sport. Guy did a parade lap last night with the boys throwing whips and Nac Nacs off every jump. It was the highlight of the entire night.

I wish you guys would let Reed do what he wants and let him enjoy himself.

Your opinion and how you feel means nothing and you should only care about how Reed feels and what he wants to do if he is your "hero". If this tarnishes what you think of him then you're not a fan of him.

I'm proud of Chad doing what he wants and doing things on his terms.

Easy.....I'm afraid the top 5 ship has sailed unless there is a yard sale where a bunch of guys get injured and no one wants to see that. If he can sniff around the top 10 that would be a crazy result.

I think the bigger issue might be, what does he want to risk to prove when he has already proven more than 90% of the top SX guys in the history of the sport?

I think everyone is being a little hard on the OP, I kinda understand what he is saying. It sucks to watch an all time great struggle. The only racer that is undefeated is father time. It happens in all sports where a great hangs on too long and has a forgettable final season. The mind may be willing but it isn't there anymore. I almost wish SX had provisional starts where former champs made the main automatically. (I said almost, get off me)

It will suck bad if he doesn't make some mains, but it will never tarnish his accomplishments. He is on Mt. Rushmore.....
