Just curious, as someone who has raced professionally for a long time, do you like the current points system with the 250SX regional points counting towards earning a national number, the previous system (250MX points only), run what you earn, or indifferent?

If the 250SX points didn't count, number 55 and 56 would be Christian Craig and Vince Friese. You would be number 78. AC would still be number 9.

If it was run what you earn, number 55 and 56 would be Todd Waters and Chris Blose. You would be number 72. AC would be number 7.

Growing up, was earning a Top 100 number and bettering it each year a goal of yours?

If riders would be given the option to choose a number for their entire career when they turn pro, would you have taken it? Yes or no and why.

Personally, I prefer the run what you earn system.

No, they pulled it because one rider's points were calculated wrong and the numbers were changed for a large swath in the middle. It will be back up soon.

I think they wanted to release this tomorrow (friday) but it was accidentally released today. Blink182 is releasing their new album named "Nine" tomorrow. Coincidence? I think not.

He had one win on a Kawi but by 1985 Bomber was pretty beat up. Knees and ankles. I think he got hurt in the outdoors that season and that was enough. His peak years of 1980-83 were damn impressive but he hammered himself so hard in training that his body started to break down a bit early.

So that's what I was going to point out, but from a different perspective. It's so much harder to win a 450 championship that a 250 national championship is, to me, the best time to earn one. Otherwise nobody would have them.

The other way, which I believe is how it was once upon a time, is that you could get a single digit number based on what position you finished the year before in the premier class. But, indoors or out, or combined? With branding opportunities I think most of the guys at that level want to stick with the same number.

Does a 450 Supercross championship earn you a single digit number if you don't already have one? For 250s it has to be an outdoor championship.
