Breaking the new bike in at good old jtown. Sucks that the only track you can ride it on and enjoy it there is the back track.

Was just talking to Seth505 Saturday at Cahuilla about how many damn two strokes we see at the track now in Southern California. Not talking minibikes, talking 125's and up.

Back in 2012 when we both picked up 2013 KTM 250SX's (granted Seth was on a YZ250 prior to that) we'd go to Milestone, or Perris, or Pala, and see maybe 2 or 3 other two strokes. Like so few that you'd make a point to wave as you rode by in the pits to your fellow two stroke enthusiast.

Seriously now when we go to the track there is a metric shitload of two strokes. It's awesome to see.
same thing happening here.....amazing how many are at track now compared to just couple years ago......i like them all but just have more fun on my smokers

I have twice as much fun on my 125 as I do on my 450 and 250f. All 3 serve a different purpose on different tracks in my opinion. Anddddd this past weekend I added this 06 KX250 to the stable(that seat cover has to go,black one is on the way) I am not sure of my plans with it yet but it sure is fun to ride.

I don’t blame the thousands of 2 stroke riders! A 450 is a lot of bike to handle. Not everyone is built for the power or weight of a 450 4 stroke! It’s perfectly okay to ride a less powerful, lighter bike, but for me, I enjoy a real challenge!

Tell me about riding the RM125s in the background? That was my all time favorite. I’m always curious as to just how different a new 125 really is.

Relax, killer, the guy just has a different opinion. It's not like he insulted your mother or anything.

Tbteam: That's a beautiful collection. Didn't you also have a stable full of early Elsinores at one time, too?

regarding your "middle finger to the AMA" comment...not the first time I have heard references to that. Is there bad blood between them and MX Sports doing the 125 All Star races now?

Put a Keihin & STIC on it. Completely different bike. We have two 2018 TC125's - one has about $4k into full race mod (not by me I bought it that way) the other is basically stock with the carb mod. Not even a comparison how much faster the STIC bike is. My oldest won't touch his 250f anymore says it's too slow. Yes, this all sounds crazy..........I am in no way a 2 or 4 stroke advocate........ride what you like.

Had my 125 out over the past weekend. I’m selling my 250f and buying a 250 two stroke. Fuck four strokes. They suck

Joey worked for quite a few years putting the original dream race together, eventually got it into the program at the nationals and then he basically got cut out of it. Not much to do with the AMA there though, more on the promoter side of things. So, partially that, and the fact the AMA wont just do a little tune up on the CC limits to let some of the guys that are able to race them at a competitive level, race them at a level that is competitive( they screwed up and let the four strokes be too big, but now wont up the 2 stroke cc limit at all). Even at just an amateur level, let the dudes run a 150 legally against the 250f's and a 300 against the 450's. Really its not that hard to change and wont make the 4 strokes obsolete, but it may bring more people back into racing, and if not, it didn't really upset anything either way Cool .

Didn’t mean to hurt your ego! I know I know, it can be fragile when you’re stuck in your old ways lol. Just putting the truth out there. The pros don’t ride them for a reason. That’s why they’re novelty’s. Go tell KR94 or ET3 to ride a 2 stroke, they will laugh in your face.
How do you suppose a 65cc 4 stroke would do against a 125 2 stroke?How about a 250 2 stroke against a 125 4 stroke?Go ask Kenny and Eli which bike they would choose....

Someday there will be a thread on future_vitalmx.com where we all romanticize Internal Combustion Engines (2 and 4 strokes) because the electric bikes have taken over.

And its not the riders choice.. Its manufacturers.. If you watched interviews on riders now about the racing back then, 90% of the riders have agreed that they wish they where still in the 2 stroke era.
450's are the easiest bike to ride. Can click a higher gear and lug it around. that's why they have taken over. a lot of power and easy to ride.

sorry to hurt your ego my fragile friend Wink

I converted to a 4 stroke several years ago. I still own many 2 strokes but my main bike I ride is a 4 stroke. I am thinking of getting the new KTM XC250TPI? Any thoughts

I'm on a 19' kx 450 now, but before that I had a TC 250.. I swear I could turn better lap times on the TC. My biggest complaint about the TC is feeding it. Man I'd burn a complete 5 gal can each outing.. 1/2 & 1/2 C12 & 93 pump gas... Did it for a year and a half.. $$$$$$. The KX burns not even half that.

What an asshole, you burn the guys clutch up so bad the bike barely moves then you just give it back to him. The shame. . .
