Black backgrounds on a 250 and white on a 450 is for a reason. That's how you are supposed to be able to tell them apart on race day. Putting black on a 450 just doesn't make sense.

I hate black backgrounds on 250 2strokes and 450's! Can't stand it.

But with that said, whatever someone wants to do to their bike they can do. As long as they like it, who cares?

What about a 350 thats were things get confusing . 1 year i had 4 different sets of Plastics because of all the BS color stuff . Mammoth . Lorettas , OTHG , and stock .

Green beginner
Yellow novice
Black intermediate
White expert/ master

I like it, because I knew I was comfortable jumping in or following anyone with the same backgrounds as me. And wasn’t holding anyone up or would not screw their line/ speed up for a obstacle. Or I could estimate my speed or pace for the same by watching someone w/ the same backgrounds.

I've put black backrounds on my bike for as long as I can remember. 250 2 strokes and 450 4 strokes!
