Has anyone heard anything? I know on Pulp a few months ago they mentioned e start and potentially some increased motor sizes for the off-road lineup. 150 and 300?

If they put out a yz 150 I’d put my 18 125 up for sale tomorrow

Haven't heard that. I'd hate to see a new yz come out with as much as I've put in mine. Unless they make the components replaceable from older years.

Why someone does not compete with KTM on the 300 two stroke seems crazy. Come on Yamaha just do it!

Pretty simple if you ask me, Yamaha's goal is to make money and KTM's is to win. I remember not that long ago, late 90s and up until about 2010 when Yamaha had the premier program and finally overtook Honda in technology terms, but those days are over, at least for now. Dirt bikes don't make the big 4 enough money, plain and simple.

I think the KTM 300 is a big selling bike. Great for dealers too because they can get away with charging full price. I have no idea how many 300's they sell but it would seem like they make good money on that model.

Be pretty easy for Yamaha to make a 300.

I'm hoping for BNG's for years to come so my 18 model isn't obsolete any time soon

If MXA ever tested ESR’s 325, what do you think they would say? They would rip that bike apart

They would add one or two teeth to the rear sprocket to spread out 2nd to 3rd transition..... or something to that effect.

There's a fair few someone's competing with 300 2Ts.

Gas Gas, TM, Sherco, Beta, and of course, the KTHuskies.

But, you've a bit of a point, in that Yamaha 300 would be a good thing, as there probably are those that want the Asian alternative. Though, that looks to be ( soon) coming from China

Yamaha needs to get in the dairy industry. They are milking these old YZs like there's a cow shortage.

Bet they’d say it needed 10cc less fork oil and one tooth on the rear sprocket...for “hardcore racing”...Laughing

From the way I read it, 350 is their #1 MX bike. 300 is their #1 displacement.
