Yes, another Eli thread but does no one out there know what they did to the bike?

Something significant must have been done as the guy looks totally different the last two races. I know the Eli haters will say it is all in his head but that is simply not the case right now.

They did something and it worked. In his interview, Eli refuses to say what.

I remember CR22 talking about how on the Honda a set of factory triple clamps made a huge difference and he went out and won right away.

I personally think it’s more eli’s own confidence in the bike, he is confident with how hard he can push it

I Agree this Change has been obvious,
Sure he was Hurt in the beginning of the year and it took a long Time to get back to where he was , and his confidence is now up also, but i agree with you i think they found something, Settings or Something

They swapped the pull rods for a little extra torque.

Or he has no pressure on him because the title is basically out of reach, he was at his home stadium, Webb is just riding safe, Roczen is still not lucky, Moosecan wasn't s factor, etc.

2 extra inch pounds on his left side number shroud bolt. Completely changed the way the bike reacts at speed.

I heard a big one that was being considered a few weeks back but Williamson objected to was to change the trail and rake. So they may have finally got to test that.

Maybe im totally ignorant on something, but why would anyone but the rider have the choice to completely say no to a change that could help the rider? The team can make suggestions and argue for a change, but the choice should be the rider’s at the end of the day. Theyre the one riding it and producing results.

Don't completely discard the idea that they got rid of the scapegoat (MW) and now ET has no excuses. It's amazing what one can accomplish when they have no excuses left. I have to believe that's part of it.

Why object to it? I don’t get it. Make the change during the week and test it. If it works, great. If not, you can say “I told you so.” But to just say “We’re not doing that” without testing it first is stupid.

The altitude knocked off some HP and he rode better...
Partly because he cant' smoke the clutch as easily with less HP.

Wouldn't be surprised if true.

IIRC last year? they made a change after a few races to the ride height and put more weight on the front, and his results instantly changed for the good. Perhaps he has long desired the same changes to the '19, and MW got in the way of that. He looks comfortable now, probably at home eating a pizza and taking a nap.
