I'm in my 60s now and I first started following moto at the age of nine, so I've spent more than half a century watching - in real-time - the sport evolve. You can give the following comment whatever credibility you might choose to, but I've seen so many changes for the worse I've stopped counting them. I've watched the sport become out-of-reach financially for guys who love it the most, I've watched bikes become so capable the only thing that ever breaks is the people riding them, I've watched people get taken out and injured in PRACTICE sessions by...

Yeah, he’s a really down to earth guy. He came out to our property and did this shoot for USWE hydration packs a couple years ago. He had won a race on Saturday, then came all the way out on Sunday to do the video and ride our trails with the crew. Lots of respect to the way he carries himself. I’m good friends with Dalton Shirey and ride with him often, those two have had a great season racing each other, up to this point. https://youtu.be/jwDWUj_I8aY

Raced at the Coliseum in 82 for the "Last Superbowl"....which as it turns it wasn't. Watched the pros the night before...and did amateur Supercross with CRC the next day. What an experience. From my scrapbook. I had pretty much outgrown that YZ80 at that point....lol.

When you drive around in AZ, you see tons of open land. What you don't realize is it is all Government owned, most by the Federal government. National Forests, State owned land, National wildlife preserves, Indian reservations, etc, etc. Which means it's all land you can't ride on or build MX tracks on. When you get down to it, there really is not that much land that is actually legal to ride on, relative to how huge and empty the state is.

Signed and shared. First track I raced when I moved here in 1987 as they were closing tracks in SoCal. Over the years the REVERSE has been happening and the amount of tracks in AZ has dwindled to a few.... STOP THE MADNESS!!!

12/31/2021 7:52am When I rode for Answer in the 80's, they made the pants, jerseys etc. right there in Valencia, Ca. Got a tour of the facility and it was cool to see where and how your gear is - was being made. No children in the facility. Still have some pants that were made back then, some never worn! Also bars...

9/27/2021 9:45pm Pomona Valley Kaw - KTM, Ken. If sill around? Been like18 years ago when my boys were on 50's. Also use an ounce of Lucas Oil Heavy Duty Oil Stabilizer added to your ATF and your clutch shoes and washers will thank you!

What job at MX Sports? I'll be at Vital through the end of December. After that? I'm hoping I'll have found something by then. (Or something finds me.) 
Jim Perry keeps an eye on lots of details around the track and event. He did the same for Supercross, though he wasn't as visible there. He started filling in at the Thunder Valley round, when John Ayers Sr. broke both his legs in a mountain bike accident.
