Thinking about starting to sell it in our dealership. Contacted VP and Sunoco. Any one use anything other than T4 and 260GT? Any preference between brands? Also curious as to what your currently paying.

C12, VP110 as a cheaper alternative to C12, T2, T4, U4.4 are all the most common.

Sunoco 112 leaded is a good 2 stroke fuel, similar to C12.

T2 and T4 are really good pour and ride fuels that make significant improvement on how your bike runs and convenience of use

I’m all about VPR. It’s basically a leader slightly lower octane version of T4 and goes for $78-$80/5gal.

I just wanted the least expensive leaded fuel that wasn’t obnoxiously high in octane, bike seems to like it.

I use VP T4, T2 and VPR in stock and remapped or Vortexed(Twisted Development) bikes. In a few bikes with race motors (Twisted, Factory Services or Pro-Circuit) I run Pro6 HT (Not really needed. You can use something less expensive; but, I have the Pro6 in-case the engines are run at an AMA Pro event/AMA rules).

Gonna have to order a pallet load to get the freight down but I can mix up what’s on the pallet.

We don’t see a ton of engine mods on 4t outside of GET or Vortex ECU’s. The 65/85 and 125 racers tend to do the most mods here. T2 should cover most of what they are doing to those units.

You should have VP Pump 100/110 available in Sac? (So you can buy it by the gallon when you want to)

MR Pro 6

If you dare.

Don't let guys with stock motors and ECU's run it, it will carbon up the valves.

But in a mod bike it is absolute rocket fuel.

Ouch a 4th in 40a might be 60 bucks. I would like to break even on 1 class. Looks like I,ll b flagging or selling burgers to pay for 2or3 classes. I,m not spending more than 400 a week racing.

Twisted development recommended VPR for are two stroke when they did the motor then it jumped up to almost $100 for a pale so I went back to Vp110 which I can get for under $8 a gallon out of the pump down here in SoCal I run both straight mix at 40 to 1 you can definitely tell a difference with a VPR but not worth the money lol for practice

I ride quite a bit of single track… too much to afford running T4 in my 350. Instead, I use Stinger 91 available at my local gas station. It’s unleaded and ethanol free, and it’s much cheaper than T4. It doesn’t smell as good, and it’s only 91 octane vs. 100, but it keeps things running smoothly on a mostly stock bike. From a sales perspective, I’d have to imagine the margin is pretty good because it’s a lesser known name. Might be worth looking into.

They sent me the current price sheet last week and its pretty high now. Retail on most of the popular fuels is now $100 for a 5 gallon can.

Just don't offer fuel thinking you will make much money, its a product to get people in the shop and hopefully you can sell them something else while they are there.

Very difficult to make anything off fuel. VP charges five arms and a leg to ship, which eats up margins fast. Becoming a supplier for a local dirt track is a way to make a few bucks.

Get the sunoco 260 gtx or gtx plus. You'll get a better price I believe. Maybe a leaded fuel for 125/250 2 strokes. T4 AND VPR if you want the vp name and branding.

Here's a honest question if you advertised it how much foot traffic do you think you could generate for it. Do you think you could get 10-20 people at least to buy 5 gallons. Do you go to the tracks road or dirt. Could you get local car guys to stop in?

That's a good question honestly. We for sure would put it out on our website, FB and IG page. We are putting in Fox this fall and was going to use some traditional advertising for that. Race fuel could be added to that. Still waiting on the Sunoco price list. If we do VP I have settled on VPR and T4 to start.

I sell VP in a major socal dealership.... we stock 110, T2, T4, U4.4, UTV96, C12.

I sell about 2 pallets(combined) per month of those. Occasionally we have to special order MRX02, MR PRO6, C50. But i would not stock those fuels.
