1) The best bike to get started in hare scrambles is the one you currently own. In other words, just start. You will learn along the way what works best for you. 2) Most series will use transponder scoring. You'll put a sticker on your helmet and they'll do the rest. There's really nothing for you to worry about. You just worry about making it around the course and finishing. Once you figure out how to finish a hare scramble, then you'll slowly learn how to race a hare scramble. 3) Most likely, you'll need to buy a membership card...

Yes... go as fast as you can for as long as you can... I would normally do a couple hare scrambles warming up for mx season... as an mx guy, hare scrambles were super long.... I was always just glad to finish... lolll...

Grab a hydration pack and run whatever bike you have now there a lot of fun. A 250 2 or 4 stroke is a good pick for the woods. Some of the series split the C class group into the am race which is 1:30 min and the A/B classes into the pm race which is 2:00hrs.

Coming off a 125 it feels fast lol. XPR has a template for the airbox cover holes on the site. I’ve been running keefers map and a Rev3D screenless cage with twin air filter. 116L chain with a 51t rear sprocket. Chassis feels nice and planted. For the price I think it’s a hard bike to beat.

Coming from a 2017 Honda CRF450R and reading MXA for decades, I too was nervous when going green back in 2020. Three 450's later, each accumulating over 100+ hours with zero headaches or mechanicals, has led me to believe Kawasaki durability has gotten a bad rap over the years. Chase the M6 threads on the subframe, keep up on oil changes, run good air filters, and you'll likely find happiness with the KX250/brand. I firmly believe that the better you take care of a bike, the more it will take care of you. This ideology fits owning Kawasaki's well in...

I’m picking up a new 2025 KX250 tomorrow for $5,999 plus license and paperwork. I’ve read the concerns about the Kawi but I couldn’t justify $10k for a KTM. As long as the engine doesn’t blow up I’ll be happy

Just picked one up for $6648 otd from Seacoast Powersports in NH. Easy dealer to work with had me in and out in 15 min. Like every new bike had very little or zero grease. Took the day to get everything taken care of. Added the Rev 3D screen less air filter cage and XPR has a template of where...

They definitely seem hit or miss but at least on mine the tsp erm was the hot ticket. 34 hrs no issues runs crispy.

Rode my 2025 150SX for the first time today. Bike is a rippa! 50/50 C12/93 Motul 800 40:1. FMF Factory Fatty with Pro Circuit Shorty. Adjusted TPS and reset power valve. Just as fast or faster than my 2015 150SX with STIC. Hopefully she stays together. Update: Added TSP ERM and TSP head. Noticeable power gains!

Seems like a great option for the off road races. Lightweight and manageable power. All I've ever done is moto and once did a GP race that was 90% MX track and the rest was simple woods trails. I'd love to try more of those hybrid tracks.

If I can get time this year, I’d like to do some Jday races and with the dead engine start I prefer the older start stop buttons. With the ERM you can set the white or green map, so I took the map switch off

Had an opportunity to trade my 19 rmz-250 for a 23 KTM 125sx. I know the first-year bikes had their issues, but at this point I think the issues have been figured out by the enthusiast and aftermarket. The bike had 18 hrs on it so I figured I'd ride it for a few hours to see how I liked...
